Non union business has more undocumented workers.

Union workers have contracts with management. Those contracts take steps to try to keep jobs in America and American workers. It guarantees wages. Management doesn't have a reason to hire undocumented workers. Management has no reason to take advantage of workers so there's no need to hire undocumented workers. Management will use E Verify to screen all new hires.

This step will further widen the wage gap and do more damage to the working people of our nation.

People see their rights at work being taken away from them. They see they are denied jobs by the government simply because they are in a union. They see the government isn't on their side.

President Donald Trump has officially granted the Department of Defense the legal authority to abolish the collective bargaining rights of its civilian labor unions representing some 750,000 workers.

Gutting the unions would provide “maximum flexibility,” Trump wrote in a memo published Thursday in the Federal Register, which was first reported by Government Executive.

Trump signed the memo three weeks ago, invoking “national security” to justify granting the Defense Department an exemption from the law giving all federal workers the right to unionize.

The unions had nothing to do with it. The unions did not make congress pass the laws giving them all those things. It was done initially because the government was a much lower paying enterprise and this was the way of overcoming that and getting people to work for the government.
