The remaining Republican presidential candidates come to Detroit to debate Thursday with Donald Trump maintaining a 10-point lead over his closest competitors in Michigan's March 8 primary in a new poll commissioned by the Detroit Free Press and other media outlets. According to the poll, Trump, who scored key wins in seven of the 11 states making their GOP picks Tuesday and holds a sizable lead in delegates needed to secure the GOP nomination, remains the presumptive favorite. Time for the SC-style Cruz robo calls then. They shrank his lead by 10 points. Very effective. First time I've ever seen Trump rattled and admit he was "fighting for his life" in the campaign. He candidly (rare?) called the ads "tough...very tough".. (interview on Sunday the day after SC primary on Fox News)
