It's been seeped into Congress.The current perverted version of the GOP is not a creation of the party or Donald Trump. It's the creation of talk radio, which has trained its troops to think in one way only: Ideological purity at all times. Either/or. All or nothing. That's it. Now, that thought process has seeped into Congress.
Trump tapped into that, leveraged it, and grifted off it, but he can't control it.

Rush used to talk about it a lot, and while people like Hannity and Levin know to stay on the establishment's good side, they'll poke at them now and then too.
The establishment Republicans know that you can't run this country with simplistic, mindless purity, but the talk radio crowd doesn't. Talk radio is binary, so they are too. So not only these people filling with rage over the Left, they were also filling with rage over the establishment of the GOP.
Trump saw this, played the game with all the right terminology (his only core belief is himself, not a political ideology), and the talk radio crowd went fuckin' nuts. The fact that he behaves like a petulant child only made them love him more, I guess because they can relate.

I'm reminded of the re-opening he announced. He announced a safe, sane, and level headed plan to re-open the nation with folks from the CDC. It was done at the White House. He announced it...then about a week later if memory serves, blobbers stormed the Michigan State House and voila...he was issuing tweets about Revolution.
About 10% of the blobbers are further to the right than the blob himself.
