Trump Lied About Iraq War

Did you people even LISTEN to this clip before you replied to the OP? Did the OP author listen to it first?

Trump's answer was clearly equivocal. Go listen to it. When asked if he supports the Iraq War, he pauses, and then says, "I guessssssss so." So even at the height of war fever, Trump was far from being an ardent supporter of the war. He was clearly unsure about the war. Again, go LISTEN to his answer.

And the record is clear that Trump turned against the war long before many others did.
But I thought little Donnie said he was always against the war from the very beginning. That doesn't sound at all equivocal.

If you actually listen to the interview, it's very clear that Trump was unsure about supporting the war. He probably always had doubts about it but reluctantly went along with it in public for a time. And, again, he was one of the first public figures to come out against the war. Even FactCheck.org admits that Trump turned against the war pretty quickly:

Trump expressed concerns about the cost of the war soon after it started.

If Trump did support the war, he turned on it quickly. As the timeline below shows, Trump in July said that he wished the money being spent in Iraq could be spent in New York City. By November, he talked about the “tremendous cost” of the war and the “very, very unpleasant surprises in Iraq.”

By 2004, Trump’s opposition to the war was well documented. ( Donald Trump and the Iraq War )

You are changing the argument from one of Trump declaring he was against the war before it began to one of him declaring reservations after the war was started. There were public figures and huge protest against the war before it began. Trump was not among those. He attempted to place himself in that group of people and it turned out to be untrue. Did he come out and protest the war or make comments about being against it when millions of people all over the globe held a world record day of protest?

So in other words: Trump doesn't stand for anything and he never did.

He is seen here bloviating and deflecting away from discussing the actual question. On top of that, he repeats the whopper of a lie about the families of the terrorist flying home to Saudi Arabia before the attack took place.

Trump's Herrenvolk are evidently impervious to facts or context, they'll believe anything IL DUCE says.

He was for it even before 9/11 happened:

"They've got missiles capable of flying nine hundred kilometers--more than enough to reach Tel Aviv. They've got enriched uranium... Am I being contradictive here, by presenting myself as a deal-maker and then advocating pre-emptive strikes? I don't think so."
-- Donald Trump; from 'The America We Deserve' (2000)
