Trump says he wont sign aid bill without payroll tax cut. Pelosi says "no way". even GOP Senators like McConell, Grassley, & Rand Paul oppose it

Trump is a passionate advocate for businesses, my friends!

“The president proposes, we dispose.”
I saw a graph recently showing the portion of income the feds get according to the different taxes. Personal income tax, payroll tax, is a tiny, tiny sliver. Business taxes and estate taxes make up the lion's share. I was surprised. But taking a little out of payroll taxes is not going to hurt the budget much.
Why is Rand Paul saying no?

It could hurt social security and Medicare down the road.

It could hurt social security and Medicare down the road. I agree no new bailout bills.

I just looked for that graph and the one I found is TOTALLY different and my post was wrong--I took it down. This is what I just found.

a payroll tax cut would create jobs, it would stimulate demand. i support it 100 percent.

Trump's been calling for it for years. now's the time!

Which is exactly what republicans want.
Social Security and Medicare was fixed again in the 1980's. Remember? Sure you do! Raised to 15% of an employees income. It was to be good until the 2070's. The politicians of the time promised us. And as we know, they never lie. You see, they use their own government figures. Promises...based on departments like the CBO. I believe they said we were going to get 4% growth and wallah...no problems with SS/Medicare. Well you know...shit happens. We are not a rising nation anymore. We are a nation that is in decline by measuring growth rates. Far richer then others and still the safety deposit box of the world. But the more socialism we apply, the less we can compete. So where do we find the balance? We can not be like China. But we can not be stupid either. And we love stupid. If the economy tanks from this pandemic, we will see a lot of the old socialism come crashing down or what people receive be less and most likely new socialism started. A few years ago there were about 56 million people on SS. In a dozen years there will be 100 million from all the Baby Boomers retiring. From PAYERS to PAYEES...for most if the economy bounces back. The games that can be played with the rules of finances and economics..huh!

Exactly how much of National Debt is too much.
According to Trump and his Little Trumpsters, there is no limit how much debt this presidency creates. He went bankrupt 6 times, why not bankrupt America?
Right Little Trumpsters?
