It's called choice.

I have a use for a truck, but for as little as I would need one, I can always borrow somebody's, use one from work, or rent one if need be. However some people have to drive through challenging weather, and I don't know of many four wheel drive vehicles that run on two cylinders. Nor can you plow your driveway with one.

It's all based on your desires or needs. I live in the city, so my Toyota Camry works just fine for me. It has a 17 gallon tank and I only have to fill up once every two weeks. However if I lived out in the sticks, this vehicle would be inefficient. I would need something that got me through the snow and didn't leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere.
