What's next?

NeXT was a company that Steve Jobs founded, when he was driven out of Apple. They built a computer that was, in my opinion, years ahead of its time. Alas, they didn't market it very well, and it never really sold.

Eventually, Apple bought up what was left of NeXT, and in the deal, Steve Jobs became Apple's CEO. NeXT's operating system became the basis for a new Macintosh operating system, MacOS X, to replace the way-outdated operating system that Macintoshes were running at the time.
