i just left.....but not because of the gun thing.....its just way to expensive to live there when you retire unless you are wealthy or have one hell of a pension...

Neither bill is an anti gun bill. The bullet button was introduced to get around existing law concerning detachable magazines. Closing that loophole is not anti gun.

Yes it is.....magazines are just one way to get certain guns banned since the manufacturer will just not make those guns and so they won't be selling their guns in California.....a backdoor ban.

And it is pointless....magazine capacity has no bearing on crime or mass shootings...but it does allow them to attack semi automatic guns.

Nothing more than closing a loophole in the detachable magazine law. Any regulation is anti gun in the mind of a gun nut, and you are no exception. You want to assure that terrorists can easily get all the guns they want so your opinion isn't worth listening to.

All regulations are a violation of the 2nd Amendment. What part of "shall not infringe" don't you anti-gun nuts understand?

See...this is the thing...gun grabbers hate guns...and the one thing they hate more than guns is people who own them...legally.

Criminals are easy...you catch them and then you can take that gun. Law abiding gun owners...they never use their guns to commit crimes or shoot people so that means as of today some 357 million guns that the gun grabbers cannot take away from people. So how do they get access to those guns that are never used in crimes...and more important....how do they punish people they hate..gun owners....

The answer...create laws that gives them access to those gun owners....and these two laws are just the ticket...

Gun owners who possess these firearms would be required to register them as “assault weapons” or face potential felony penalties, arrest, and confiscation of the firearm. AB 1663 will also ban the future sale of these firearms.

So.....these gun owners can go their entire lives owning these weapons.....there are over 3,700,000 Assault Rifles in private hands and only 3-4 are ever used each year to commit crimes.....

So...these gun owners can go their entire lives, own these weapons and never use them to hurt another human being...but.....if they fail to fill out a piece of paper.....then they can be arrested, have their money taken, they can be put in prison and the best part for the gun grabbers.......they can take their guns away from them.....forever....

So...a criminal will get caught with a gun and go to jail for less than 2 years....back on the street having spent time with his incarcerated gang buddies, and now he has Jail Time Cred and he goes back to work.

The law abiding citizen who is caught with a rifle without the right paper work.....loses his job, and then can never get another decent job because he is now a felon.

The gun grabbers get the gun, and they get the best of all.....they get to hammer those people they hate, law abiding gun owners.........

What is the point to the magazine laws? Can you explain that?

What we need to close is the loophole in the brains of gun grabbers.......that is the real problem in this country...

A detachable magazine there by removes all semi automatic handguns....and there is your ban........

Then.....when the next mass shooters use shotguns and revolvers...they will go after the Tube Magzine and Cylinder magazine loophole............

Gun registration is a violation of your 5th Amendment rights against self incrimination......Haynes v. United States is the case they need to push...if criminals do not have to register illegal guns due to self incrimination, then law abiding citizens, who have committed no crime should not have to give information on a weapon and their ownership of that weapon that may lead to one day a loss of their freedom.......

Only two? Must be a slow day in Sacramento. Usually they put out three or four a month. They routinely get voted down. Mostly.

NRA-ILA | California: Two Anti-Gun Bills that will have a Serious Affect on Semi-Automatic Firearms have been Introduced
jesus christ...how the hell do gun owners manage to live in such a hateful anti gun state? It makes commie Russia look tame in comparison...does anyone here live in California and are also pro gun? Why do you stay?
Great weather, ocean, perfect for flying. Despite the govt trying so hard to "help" us.

That was part of my point. Gun nuts think any regulation is an assault on your rights. You think everyone, every thug, every terrorist, every mentally unstable person should be fully armed, and any effort to reasonably restrict guns is bad.You are stupid and wrong, but you being a gun nut, I don't think you can help yourself.

Yes, but that has already been explained to you dozens of times, and you just aren't mentally capable of understanding. Believe what you want idiot.

Every regulation proposed in the last 50 years is a violation of your 2nd amendment rights.

One redeeming quality CA has is the referendum process, sounds like it's time to get some signatures together and do a bit of nullification, we the people style.

Typical gun nut belief. Reasonable people know better.

No...you guys use bullshit reasons to justify banning magazines.....when there is no actual reason to do so...you do it because you don't like guns....that is not a reason to ban magazines.

Criminals either use your magazines or ignore the law and use regular magazines, mass shooters......like the ones in San Bernadino and the mass shooter in Santa Barbara use the legal california magazines.........

So again...there is no reason to prevent 3,700,000 gun owners from using standard magazines other than you don't like them....
