Jerry Brown signs $15 minimum wage in California

Gov. Jerry Brown, casting a living wage as a moral imperative while questioning its economic rationale, signed legislation Monday raising California’s mandatory minimum to $15 an hour by 2022, acting within hours of a similar bill signing in New York.

The bill’s enactment comes one week after Brown, Democratic lawmakers and labor leadersannounced an agreement on the wage increase, averting a brawl on the November ballot.

Perhaps when silly leftists try to make laws like a Min Wage law, telling business people how to run their businesses, they should also pass a law requiring that the population go to those businesses (fast-food, convenience stores, etc.) 50% more often than they used to, to provide the money the managers need to pay their employees those extra wages.

It would be right up the leftists' alley.

The US Middle Class used to be the wealthiest in the world, that was in 1980. But thanks to flat wage growth for almost four decades, the US Middle Class now ranks 19th.
It seems some folks want this trend to continue. Obviously they don't have children who's future they care about. They must not care about their future either. These folks have been so duped, they are for setting up generation after generation of poverty.
Do I think $15 is high? Yes I do. But not raising up to as little as $10.
When the right wing segment of Washington had the ability to raise the Minimum Wage to $10 they claimed massive amount of jobs would be lost or inflation would go wild, yet this has never happened in the past in the US. Over 80% of the public wanted the Minimum Wage raised. These are the same people who have gravitated to Bernie Sanders and to a lesser degree to Donald Trump.
But some folks just want to remained duped and poor and they are the minority.

No, they aren't. Mostly part time jobs these days. No benefits. Businesses aren't hiring full time because of Obamacare. Now the new minimum means many won't hire anyone and some will let people go or even close the business.

Brown admitted it's not a good economical decision. He bent to pressure by unions and the idiots who don't understand how the world actually works.
