Trump has expressly distanced himself from Project 2025. The Left, having no policies or even a candidate to support have to clutch onto things like this to find even more reasons to vote against Trump.

The most unsettling thing in P'25 is the campaign to rid the Federal Bureaucracy (aka, "the Deep State") of un-elected potentates who implement their own agendas when the Administration is not compliant. During Trump's first term, they ignored, slow-walked, and even defied some of his policy initiatives, and being protected GS employees, there seemed to be nothing that could be done about it.

Should we long for the days when civil servants merely wanted a job with no pressure, guaranteed tenure, and an early, generous retirement?
