The Afghan National Army and National Police have been infiltrated by the Taliban since always. There have been numerous instance of these infiltrators turning on their comrades or on ISAF troops.

The problem is we can't win using conventional warfare, you have two Islamic factions trying to be top dog, if we leave it creates a vacuum for jihadist groups and Iran Russia and Pakistan come into play

It's a colossal mess with no easy solutions.
