U.S. to withdraw personnel from embassy in Venezuela amid turmoil
Are we approaching endgame in Venezuela?
Every time something new breaks down there I expect the people to finally rise up, or the militarty to initiate a coup, but Maduro keeps plodding along.
I have a feeling the remaining staff had their families sent home a long time ago, and those there are the bare bones an embassy requires.
The big question is if they can be safely removed through normal methods, or if an extraction will be needed if conditions continue to deterioriate.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made the announcement Monday night on Twitter. "This decision reflects the deteriorating situation in #Venezuela as well as the conclusion that the presence of U.S. diplomatic staff at the embassy has become a constraint on U.S. policy," he wrote.
Pompeo announced the decision late Monday as Venezuela struggles to restore electricity following four days of blackouts around the country and a deepening political crisis.
