UK rejects conservatism......America are you listening?

They tried Brexit and it scared the shit out of them....so the young people of the UK who failed to vote on Brexit, showed up in massive numbers to assure the move would not be led by conservatives. We got a Brexit going on here, conservatism is not working, Trump is an idiot and 2018 will be our chance to rally and finally end the nightmare of conservatism, ie white dominance in America!!!!!!

They see our nightmare and they wanted out...CONSERVATISM SUCKS!!
I thought the conservatives won? May didn't win?
Conservatives: 318
Labour: 262

Our parties need 326 seats to win outright. Labour was obviously well short, and the Conservatives were short by 8 so will get support from the DUP who won 10 seats, so there is again a Conservative gvmnt and, ATM at least, May remains PM.

You mean like America rejected democrats and their agenda the last few years...your party is decimated

So every decision the UK has made for years has been absolutely wrong except one leading to their now having three major terror attacks in a short time and now May is on the rocks too and rather than think, "Here we go again," you think we ought to be listening to yet another mistake???

In case you haven't noticed, in the last THREE elections, America

rejected liberalism and put the House in the GOP's hands,

rejected liberalism and put the Senate in the GOP's hands,

and now just rejected same old same old liberalism again and put the White House in the GOP's hands!

Maybe it is the UK and liberals everywhere that ought to be listening!
May's austerity wasn't popular, obviously

But much more popular than Comrade Corbyn and his magic money tree bribes:spinner:

When you train people to look to the government for handouts, they become scared shitless when the handouts are taken away.

If we could only have enough time to train people that they have the power to make their own lives better, we might be able to return to the days like our parents and their parents, where people were too proud to accept handouts, and they worked hard to take care of their own families needs.

Y'all realize that 'conservative' in Britain is pretty far left on the spectrum.

The USA is very different from any other country so much so that language means different things. For example, Liberal is actually a political party in Britain and is nothing like American liberals. Both Republican and Democratic parties in the USA would be comfortable in the British Conservatives, i.e. pro-business and allowing big gaps between the high incomes of the few and much smaller pay of the many.

The problem is that Corbyn is trying to take defeat as success, which is embarrassing. He failed, yes he did better than the last guy, but the problems are worse 2 years on, and he should have got +100 seats like in 1997.

Conservatism won. They're still in government.

Corbyn is responsible for Brexit and he's responsible for losing this election and handing it to May.
You are mistaken; although the Conservatives are the largest party, they lost seats and their majority. They are relying on a Protestant sectarian party from a backward corner of Ireland. This government is doomed.

The Protestant Orange Order that will hold the balance of power in Britain's government

I doubt it's doomed. The biggest problem is when the Tories who are against what May is doing realize they have some power. However May will tell these people whether they want another election. I'd say it'll survive at least 2 years.

The Conservatives polled 13.7 million votes this time, compared to 11.3 million votes two years ago and 10.7 million in 2010, so May actually achieved a significant increase in the Tory vote.

The danger that Trump poses to American conservatism is that he now represents it.

The Left (including in other countries) couldn't have picked a better representative of the Right.
.

The conservatives had a bad night and May greatly miscalcualted the mood of the people that said they still hold the most seats and May or someone from her party is most likely going to be the Prime Minister so calling this a rejection of conservatism might be a bit of an overstatement.

Nothing and I mean nothing, not even this so called mess you speak of, is worse than our government with conservatives and Trump in the majority.

What happened was that the YOUNG PEOPLE VOTED!!!, they're numbers were dismal the last
