Yes, it is cold in the Northeast of the US and in Europe. Yet, Hudson's Bay has only a 2/3 rds ice cover. And there is little ice in the Baltic. Hardly any ice north of Norway.

The arrogance and ignorance of human beings never ceases to amaze me.
To think that the activity of the Sun can be accurately measured over a period of even 100 years is laughable. In terms of the Sun, that is a fraction of a fraction of a nanosecond. To believe that we understand anything beyond the most basic observations of the Sun is arrogant and naive.
The only thing we know definitely about the Sun is that it will explode one day, wiping out Earth (if its still here) and everything else in the solar system. Everything else we have, all the data, all the hypotheses, all the "science," is nothing more than baseline data. There is nothing to compare it to. We don't understand it, we cannot control it, and so we run screaming into the streets that the sky is falling and its all our fault.
Its going to explode. It will wipe out humanity. It is warm and bright, and we circle around it every 365 days or so.
And that is truly the only things we know definitely about the Sun, or ever will in the next 10,000 years (still not enough time to gather useful data about an energy source as awesome as a star, even one as small as the Sun).
Get the fuck over it.

Why don't you get the fuck over being such an ignorant ass?
Well the sun certainly dominates earth's climate.
But it's not the only thing effecting it.
Life has been helping to change earth's atmosphere and climate for billions of years, folks.
Wake up and smell the science

How so Rocks?
Let me ask you a question.....
How close are we to the "surface" of the Sun, relative to this exact date, last year?
The answer is indisputable, yet there is no way to measure it.
Are we closer, farther, or the same distance from our star as we were in this exact position last year (or any other year, for that matter)?
Thats an easy one for Old Crock, based on Old Crock's distance from the Glacier he sees every morning he will be able to calculate the residing shadow and come up with a link that in indisputable.

Yes that is true, however it took BILLIONS of years to do it. Not some paltry 200 years. Ask yourself ed, why is it that we are even arguing about the climate if what they say is true? If what they say is true there should be ZERO doubt. The climate should be warm, millions of critters worldwide should not have died last year and this year OF COLD, it should be evident to anyone looking at a thermometer that the world is warming up.
Instead we have every temp record on the planet being falsified by the true believers, and a single volcanic eruption (which shouldn't be able to do ANYTHING because everyone knows man is so much more polluting than a pesky old volcano, yet that volcanic eruption has an immediate, measurable, impact on the weather.
Why is that?
You silly simpletons. As far back as 1820, Joseph Fourier calculated the amount of sunlight that the Earth recieves, its abedo, and concluded that something in the atmosphere was absorbing the outgoing energy, because by the albedo, the Earth should be much colder.
Tynndal mapped the absorbtion spectra in 1858 of the primary GHGs, water vapor, carbon dioxide, and methane.
While the sun controls the amount of energy the Earth recieves, the Abedo and the GHGs determine how much of that energy remains on the surface and in the atmosphere and oceans of the Earth.
Dear Ray, Mike and Malcolm,
Once Tim's got a diagram here we'll send that either later today or
first thing tomorrow.
I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps
to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from
1961 for Keith's to hide the decline. Mike's series got the annual
land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land
N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999
for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with
data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998.
Thanks for the comments, Ray.

Joseph Fourier was right. There are green house gases like water vapor(clouds) for instance.
What you fail to understand is the man caused global warming is a farce to create a world government. I know it sounds conspiratorial but its just another brick in the wall towards a world governance.
One of the biggest pieces of evidence is the earth appears to be cooling for the last 10 years or so and yet the CO2 emmissions are not declining. Even the East Anglia Climate Alarmists scientists admit that and call it "a travesty" that the temps are declining.
