This is an interesting story. I hadn't heard of the sinking of this ship before. 7 days before Hitler killed himself. Not sure why the sailors who died weren't awarded the Purple Heart right away. I guess it's reserved for combat fatalities and it was thought at the time that it was an equipment failure. The U-boat was tracked down and sunk within days too.

More like the last desperate act by a German U-Boat than a legitimate target. It's an interesting part of U.S. history that the U.S. media became a part of the government propaganda network during WW2 and wasn't able to engage in it's 1st Amendment right and duty to report incidents like this at the time.

Move on to the narrative that Adolf and Eva did not die in Berlin but he died in Patagonia in 1962 and had children with Eva .
Well documented and fully known by the CIA , probably throughout .
One 100% certain fact is that the bunker skeletons were shown by DNA not to be Mr and Mrs H .

For some reason still unexplained, Ike was ordered to stand back and let the Russian rabble take Berlin. It caused all sorts of problems including the "Iron Curtain" and the callus treatment of Hitler's bunker and presumed remains.

Well that Russian rabble took a hundred thousand casualties taking Berlin you moron, and after what they went through i would like to have seen anyone stop them.

Not that it would have mattered one damned bit if the US had stormed into take Berlin themselves. All that would have resulted in was a hell of a lot more dead Americans.

The way Germany and Europe was partitioned after the war was resolved months before in Yalta. Who actually took Berlin made no difference in the partition.
