IF the ban makes it through the Senate and lands on Biden's desk someone will still have to sue the government to overturn it based on the USSC's recent decision in Bruen. Otherwise, the law will stand.

Likely they won’t want to have it end up at the Supreme Court….they will make sure that Schumer keeps it from passing……they may have just gotten the warning that the court will actually take the case instead of ignoring gun cases for years the way they did before…

It's amazing how many say a Supreme Court ruling is absolute when it supports their views and is evil when it goes against their views.

Since we all do that, on both sides of virtually any case, the real lesson is that the Supreme Court doesn't make the law. They're simply upholding the Constitution where it says, "Shall not be infringed". The argument against that shouldn't be that the Court is evil, it should be based on a reading of the Constitution - something most of us can do for ourselves. So those like Clayton should respond with why they think the Constitution says otherwise.
