Vandals have attacked two of Britain’s most celebrated war memorials, apparently daubing them with the word “Islam” and covering over inscriptions.

Is there nothing sacred for the "religion of peace" :(

War memorials vandalised - Telegraph

This man spoke volumes through his resolve and anger at this situation.

"Today an 89-year-old war veteran vowed to stand at the Bomber Command monument in London's Green Park until spray paint has been removed. Dedicated Douglas Radcliffe MBE - who is the Secretary of the Bomber Command Association - said he was "very disturbed" by the act of vandalism and said he could not understand why anyone would deface the honour.

He said: "I'm standing here until this graffiti is removed.

"The 77,000 young men who died, died to give whoever put that graffiti there the freedom to live in this country and honour it, so I can't believe that somebody would do this."

The proposed snooper's charter enables intelligence agencies to have greater access to communications data such as e-mails and other online activities and the bill will give the police greater powers to deal with terrorist threats emanating from a few thousand radical Islamists in the UK. The Home Office is also set to ban hate preachers even if they don't explicitly advocate violence and Anjem Choudary mentored Adebolajo for many years through his Islamist organisation's group meetings and he instigated Adebolajo to join the al-Shabaab militant group in Somalia. Choudary is considered to be a British equivalent of Anwar al-Awlaki and his inner circle should face close scrutiny from intelligence agencies.

The security service is facing questions about its monitoring of the suspects, particularly after a Kenyan police chief said that Mr Adebolajo was arrested three years ago because it was feared he was attempting to cross the border into Somalia with five other men to train and fight with the al-Shabaab militant group, which is linked to al Qaeda. He was also reported today to have been allowed to return to Kenya at least once last year, despite the concerns. Sir Malcolm also stressed the importance of giving new powers to the police and members of the security services to enable them to access records of people’s internet use and social media contacts, though not the content of messages.

Hey... whatever they have to do to keep the British population safe from Islamic radical terrorists is fine with me!
