Was it legal to expel the 2 democrats?

Was it legal? Was it morally right to expel those Dems in Tenn?
It appears to have been legal.

There does need to be a way to rein in members who themselves obstruct proceedings and violate the chamber’s own rules. But whether it was a good idea in this case is a very different question.
 
These two have a history of disruptive behavior and their treatment reflects that. It's not the first time they have used a bullhorn in session to shut up those they disagree with. What they can get away with on the street doesn't work as well in the legislature.
