I just heard Panetta say that our us military should not be the 911 service of americans around the world and that we SHOULD NOT be responding to every crisis.

KEEP IN MIND THIS WAS DURING THE BENGHAZI TESTIMONY.

This begs the question then. Exactly WHO is responsible for protecting American interests and lives around the globe? Seems to me that is the top priority of our government. To secure the lives and freedims of the American people.


He essentially just told every terrorist organization that they have free reign on Americans abroad. Add to that, that Obama wants the freedom to kill WHOMEVER he wants with drones anywhere in the world if he deems them a threat be they American or not.

Which begs the next question....why the fuck didnt he drone strike the terrorists outside our embassy in Benghazi? Oue cia agents even had them painted for christs sake.

Riddle me this: Does the constitution authorize the Federal Government to provide for the common defense of the individual states?

Does the Constitution require the Federal Government to provide for the welfare and well being of its individual citizens, ie their wealth, their health, the economic equality, the equality of their living standards, their domiciles or household possessions?

If yes to the first question and no to the second, why has the United States Military's budget been placed on the chopping block, while the governments wealth and income transfer payments, and other programs designed to redistribute the nation's wealth have been placed off limits in the budgetary process?
By doing so wouldn't that be a violation of the entire Federal Governments duties and obligations?

Obama has nominated three surrender monkeys to posts critical to this nation's security, Brennan, Hagel, and Kerry.

Obama has selectively removed any and all military commanders who would support the Constitution instead of him and who would also hesitate to use the military forces of the United States against its citizenry. This is a maneuver that can only be described as straight out of the Adolph Hitler playbook.

Obama has gutted the defense of our borders so severely that the 9/11 hijackers could enter our country and wander unmolested once again in preparation for their nefarious deeds. Obama did this purposefully to numerically overwhelm the native elements of America's citizenry and their desire to maintain this country's traditional values in addition to strengthening Obama's voting base.

Obama has so manipulated the legislative debate as to put the defense of this country in jeopardy as the country comes to grips with its finances, in violation of his Constitutional mandate, while placing his unconstitutional attempt to provide all American citizens equal standards of living, possessions and wealth beyond reach in order to increase his voting base, a move very much similar to the Roman Emperor Caligula's personally throwing fistful's of gold coins off the top of Romes tallest buildings down on the heads of the swirling mob below. Any imbecile knows that if America loses a war against a foreign adversary all its citizenry suffers similarly severely. All of this has been done to facilitate Barack Obama's intention of installing a Communist Workers Paradise economic system on the backs of America's citizens.

The only stumbling block remaining in Obama's way is the firearms remaining in its citizens hands.

Nothing strange about Hagel's being an Iranian puppet. If you wanted to destroy America, Hagel is the man you'd put in charge of DOD. Plus he's a Republican so you can simply slough any or all of the blame for any subsequent military debacles off onto the opposition party. The worst possible candidate at the optimum moment of America's weakness. America is like that bridge on the interstates in upstate New York (i-90, i-87, i-81) years ago, where the soil around the piers has been scoured nearly away by years of repeated heavy flooding and now in the midst of another heavy rain and flooding event a heavily loaded eighteen wheeler, traveling at highway speed, begins its crossing as hundreds of thousands like it have done before, except this time, its energy of motion and the movements and vibration it imparts to the structure is enough to cause what remaining support the piers have had to give way, causing the piers, the truck, its load, and the entire bridge to collapse into the flood swollen river. Obama's adeptness and adroitness in destroying the fabric of America are almost diabolical.

American Foreign Policy and the Tyranny of Old Ideas

Yet despite that object lesson in the dangers of delusional paradigms, we are repeating the same mistake in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is advancing towards an Islamist regime inherently anti-American, anti-Semitic, illiberal, and thus contrary to all our national interests and those of our most important regional ally, Israel. Yet the Secretary of State has just promised $250 million in aid, with $1 billion more to come once Egypt accepts a $4.8 billion loan from the IMF. And don’t forget the $213 million worth of F-16 fighter jets the Muslim Brotherhood is slated to receive.

This largesse is being bestowed on a regime founded on Islamic supremacism and hatred of the infidel West, one that incorporates illiberal shari’a law in its constitution. It is a regime that persecutes Egyptian Copts, supports the genocidal terrorist outfit Hamas, denies us access to a suspect in the murder of our ambassador in Benghazi, and indulges Koranic anti-Semitism and eliminationist rhetoric. So why do we do it? Because of the old delusion that such “engagement” will help Egypt “strengthen its economy and build political unity and justice,” as Kerry said on his trip, and that in turn will make the Muslim Brotherhood like us and serve our interests. After all, the revolution was really about removing a brutal dictator, eliminating corruption, creating opportunity, and improving the economy. The Islamist and jihadist aims and principles that have defined the Muslim Brotherhood for 8 decades are just rhetoric. Odd, though, that the minority of true liberals in Egypt didn’t get that memo, which is why they protested Kerry’s visit and the promised aid, and plan to boycott the April elections.

Such is the power of received ideas and unexamined assumptions when they become institutionalized. The point is not that there aren’t throughout the world millions of Muslims who want to accommodate their faith to the modern world or reconcile Islam with liberalism. But no one can provide evidence that they are the majority of Muslims, while evidence abounds that the jihadists and Islamic supremacists are better organized and more passionately motivated than all those alleged liberals and moderates who are, with some few brave exceptions, conspicuous by their absence.

Until our foreign policy establishment is liberated from the tyranny of old ideas and the deformations of institutional orthodoxy, we will continue to repeat the same mistakes until some game-changing development––a nuclear-armed Iran that sparks proliferation throughout the region––reveals the dangerous wages of our failure of imagination.

Saying that America shouldn't be 911 force of the globe is what he meant. We should always be willing to rescue Americans if it's called for, but we shouldn't be willing to jump into every conflict around the globe.

Obama never said that he wanted to kill whomever he wants with drones anywhere around the world. Matter of fact, Rand Paul got a letter stating that drone strikes against Americans would never happen on American soil.

Why didn't we drone strike the terrorists in Benghazi? Simple..................we didn't have Reaper drones in the air at the time, just one Predator surveillance drone, which is why Panetta didn't send in a strike force to rescue them. Not enough intelligence from a SINGLE SURVEILLANCE DRONE, and not enough time to mobilize them.
