Knowing what we now know about technology AND many Americans' propensities toward violence, would the Founding Fathers include the 2nd amendment as part of our Constitution?

Or would the wording of such a poorly written and unclear statement be more specific about guns' ownership?

Yes they would, and geres why... the Foundung Fathers would ve utterly disgusted with the Government we have today and would be seeking its overthrow just like they did in 1775. You need guns for thst.

YOu hate this country so much why don't you just leave? If you and your lib haters didn't hate the country you wouldn't be trying to change it all the time into a 3rd world crap hole.

In other words, they would today be saying, "we fucked up" with this democratic experiment ??? Is that what you mean?

You can't beat the US military with nothing but semi automatics. Would you all PLEASE wake up and smell the coffee?

Why blame the Founders? They gave us a flexible framework open to change. We are not willing to change certain parts of it at this point. That's on us, not the Founders.

The founders laid down a good foundation, it's leftists that have perverted parts of it, every time.

I think they would have second thoughts on freedom of speech by the press.
Also, they wouldn't allow foreigners to buy an interest in our media and use it as a tool against Americans.

I’d think so. When it was written the average person could buy the state of the art weapons. I’m not talking rifles. I’m talking cannon. No one suggested that people should not be able to buy a weapon so powerful it could sink ships or smash a building to rubble. No one argued that these cannon were too dangerous for people to own.

The Militia when the Second was written was literally every able bodied “free” man. Many States required that the men have suitable military grade weapons able to respond to an emergency. Towns were levied for a percentage of the men when the militia was activated. If it was a ten percent levy and the town had a hundred able bodied free men ten were picked if no one volunteered.

Many states had mandatory military training after Devine worship for a couple hours. The men would practice marching with their rifles, drill and ceremony, and marksmanship.

Switzerland gives their military a weapon and ammunition to take home. After your service you can buy your military rifle. We do not allow that here.

So yes. I think the second would be pretty much the same.

The 2A was extremely important to the Founders. They made that very clear in all their writings.

For one to ask this question, merely exposes oneself as an idiot and a brainwashed leftist dupe.

Funny how leftists do that with regularity, and don't even know it.

If they knew what we know about criminals and criminal behavior and elected officials who would give them sanctuary they just may have made gun ownership mandatory

Or would the wording of such a poorly written and unclear statement be more specific about guns' ownership?

on this point they probably would have left the second amendment the way it is and just made it mandatory that you receive a better education

That's not an argument.
As usual, no answer, just the statement of "you can't...."

only unclear to illiterates, gnat.

Gives the right to the people, not the militia

Not entirely. I think they would now recognize how naive they were to think that people would live to their better judgement rather than their worst ones.

It was written incredibly clearly, and were you better educated you would understand that fact. It was so well written that despite decades of effort to undermine it, and claim it means other than what it truly does, it is still here preventing progressives from turning this country into yet another charnel house.
