WH OFFICIAL SCATHING OP ED NYT re Trump incompetence and AMORALITY!

Having a meeting with a private Russian citizen who promised "dirt" on your opponent in a US election has ZERO to do with that law...especially when the private Russian citizen has no dirt and the meeting was a sham so that she could talk about something else...a meeting that ended almost immediately once it was made clear she DIDN'T have what she'd claimed to have!

It does explain it...but what does THAT law have to do with the meeting at Trump Tower? Duh?
Thanks! You cannot debate this topic. Move along! You are done.

Debate? Is that what you're doing? I thought you were proving that you CAN'T debate, WTP! I'm still waiting to hear what crime Donald Trump has been charged with and by what law enforcement agency!

"Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both."

Was the Russian lawyer an "officer" or "agent" of the Russian government? No, she was a private citizen. First part of your charge dismissed. Was the meeting intended to influence the measures or conduct of Russia in relation to a dispute or controversy with the United States or defeat the measures of the United States? No it was intended to get "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. Second part of your charge dismissed.

Now did you want to provide an actual CRIME that Trump has committed or continue to embarrass yourself with how little you actually have?

OMG! Someone but this guy out of his misery. He doesn't seem to understand the difference between what someone is charged with, versus an ongoing investigation. This is what is called the "chicken with the head cut off moment", and this cat is going through one. Someone help him out. He doesn't get it. Lol! What a joke this is.

The Russian lawyer was an adversary. We have sanctions against the Russians. Meaning, it is illegal to conspire with "any" Russian to get dirt on a political opponent in an America presidential campaign against that American opponent. Any more questions?

The laws are clear, and so are the crimes. The rest is left up to the investigators when they complete the investigation.

I just pasted the statute you seem to think that Trump violated, WTP and then explained why it didn't apply.

The Russian lawyer was an adversary of the United States? Really? In what way? Because you need her to be one because if she isn't then it's obvious that your "crime" becomes a joke? So according to you...because we have sanctions against Russia...simply talking to a private Russian citizen who says they have dirt on Hillary Clinton...violates the statute you cited? How does "dirt" on Hillary Clinton influence the measures or conduct of Russia in relation to a dispute or controversy with the United States or defeat measures of the United States?

If the crimes are "clear" then why are you unable to name them?

Having dirt or no dirt is irrelevant to the law. It goes to intention and motivation. That law was broken by the Russians and the Trump campaign.

The same is to be said for "obstruction".

Wow, the crime is called a "conspiracy". Do you not know anything?

Basically what you've admitted is that you have no crimes yet...but you're really hopeful that Mueller can find some after two plus years of looking?

There was "intent" to influence the measures or conduct of Russia in relation to a dispute or controversy with the United States or defeat measures of the United States? By who? Donald Trump Junior took a meeting with a private Russian citizen who claimed to have dirt on Hillary Clinton. Where is the "intent" to influence the measures or conduct of Russia in relation to a dispute or controversy with the United States or defeat measures of the United States in that?

The Russian lawyer is automatically an adversary, because she is a Russian citizen, who by the way, worked for the Russian government. 18 U.S. Code § 953 - Private correspondence with foreign governments

Ok...now you've accused Trump of "conspiracy". Did you want to be more specific on that charge? What "conspiracy" statute did Donald Trump break?

She had done some legal work for the Russian government but she was not part of the Russian government. She was not working as an "agent" or an "officer" of the Russian government for that meeting however...she was a private citizen. Claiming that she's "automatically" an "adversary" because she's Russian and we have sanctions against Russia is an amusing stretch, WTP! So any American who has spoken to a Russian citizen since sanctions were imposed is in violation of your statute because EVERY Russian is considered an "adversary"? I would LOVE to see you argue THAT in front of a judge in a court of law! At best you'd get laughed at. At worse you'd be told what an idiot you were!

Lol! No matter how hard you try, you always box yourself in. It isn't "any American." It was "they Americans", and "they" were part of the Trump campaign to get dirt on a political opponent with Russians. "Any Russians"! That is a conspiracy, via the law. Period!

People, read the law; 18 U.S. Code § 953 - Private correspondence with foreign governments

And by the way, a private citizen is either a government official or an agent, if that person discusses doing away with the Magnitsky Act. No one from Russia is going to negotiate that without being some kind of official for the government.

In order to commit a criminal conspiracy you first have to conspire to commit a crime! Having a meeting with someone who promised you dirt on your political opponent isn't a crime. So where is your "conspiracy, via the law"?
