The bill was barely bipartisan--if one Republican agrees the Democrats call it bi-partisan--but it was unacceptable to any thinking America because it allowed, practically mandated, an unacceptable number of migrants allowed into the country, had no provision to deport the millions already here, and would have made any meaningful immigration reform much more difficult.

If Trump had not turned thumb down on it, he would have been far more justified for criticism than he was opposing it. And I'm pretty sure his opinion would have made no different in the House opposition to it.
