“We’ve got close to 7 million Americans who have access to health care for the first time because of Medicaid expansion.”

The [Washington Post]Fact Checker has written several times about the fuzziness of the Medicaid numbers issued by the Obama administration.
But it is like playing whack-a-mole. Every time we rap someone for getting it wrong, the same problem pops up someplace else

......... but it could also include some people who were previously eligible for Medicaid but had never signed up before all the publicity about new health-care options
(known as people coming out of the “woodwork”).

Obama?s claim that 7 million got ?access to health care for the first time? because of his Medicaid expansion

FOLKS!!!!!!
Remember my explaining there never were 46 million uninsured because 14 million of the "uninsured" were already eligible!... "people coming out of the woodwork!"!!!

The Census counted as "uninsured"... 14 million who's income qualified EVEN before ACA for Medicaid! "people coming out of the woodwork!"!!! Why not?
Here is a link of a private Blue Cross study that raised that issue: http://coverageforall.org/pdf/BC-BS_Uninsured-America.pdf
"Of the 44.7 million non-elderly uninsured individuals identified in the 2004 Census Current
Population Survey (CPS) data, nearly one-third — almost 14 million — were reachable through existing government health programs such as Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) under current rules!

So here we have Obamacare COUNTING people as "insured" that already were eligible ( "people coming out of the woodwork!"!!!) before Obamacare under Medicaid!

AND Obama counted them as part of the 46 million uninsured!
Along with them are 10 million not citizens and the biggest phoniest inclusion, 18 million people under 34 that make over $50,000 that don't participate in employers' Plans!

All toll 42 million people of the 46 million that either are not legal, don't know they are covered or don't want to be!

That leaves 4 million!

THAT's all!
AND yet we have this great agenda to destroy $100 billion a year federal/state/local tax paying industry and laying off 400,000 people because Obama
prefers to destroy 1,300 health insurance companies to have a SINGLE PAYER!!!

"Avalere, a health consulting firm, in a recent analysis raised serious questions about the 6.3 million Medicaid figure, estimating that only 1.1 million to 1.8 million of the claimed enrollees could be attributed to the Affordable Care Act.
That estimate generated headlines, including a full report in The Washington Post that said it suggested
“many of the people who have joined the program since the initiative’s rollout in October would have done so absent the law.”

Obama?s claim that 7 million got ?access to health care for the first time? because of his Medicaid expansion

Does Obama know that Medicaid and Obamacare have nothing to with each other?

Obama appointed people run CMS.
CMS runs Medicare and Medicaid.
If CMS doesn't know that 14 million people who were eligible before ACA how can they possible be charged to run 1/6th of the economy?

My contention has been if the majority of people that use the number "46 million uninsured" LOOKED at what makes up those 46 million..i.e.
10 million ACCORDING to the Census are NOT citizens!
14 million as I've pointed out are what they now call people coming out of the woodwork.. i.e. qualified for Medicaid even before ACA and
18 million under 34 that don't NEED insurance, make over $50,000 so they can afford but don't want to waste money joining employers' health plans.

That leaves 4 million of the 46 phony number!

That simple breakdown has NEVER NEVER been picked up by ANY MSM and I for the life of me don't know why!
It was because of the phony 46 million that ACA passed by just 7 votes.

This is by far the biggest gigantic LIE told by Obama et.al.. and even conservative ACA critics i.e. Rush uses that figure!
I just don't understand why this is not publicized as it was the MAIN reason ACA was passed!

There are less people insured now. It's more expensive. I am guessing the few that still defend it are probably those who don't pay shit for anything. Obamacare only works for those who don't. The rest of us are screwed.

Has anything this administration put out about Obamacare been the truth? They lied to pass it. They kept lying even after the lies were exposed. Now they are lying about working out the problems and highly exaggerating the number of people helped by this.

A lot of folks who did sign up at the Obamacare website were lied to about their doctors being included in their new plans. They are finding out that is not true, but of course the administration keeps lying and saying it's just another bug that needs to be worked out.

Lies, lies and more lies. It's a mess and instead of improving, we just keep finding more and more problems and unpleasant surprises.

Repealing and starting over is the only option, but the knuckleheads won't admit they are wrong. If they were sincere about helping people, they wouldn't have done this to start with. Health care is not the goal here and never was. That is why they created a crisis by lying about the number of uninsured and why they lied about what was in the bill. They have new power and don't give a damn about the hardships people across the country are enduring.

Now for a blast from the past!!!
(Remember Hillarycare???)

In the mid-1990s, eight states—Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, and Washington—enacted
Obamacare-like “reforms” such as guaranteed issue and community rating in their insurance markets.
As a result, the residents of these eight states faced unaffordable premiums and reduced plan choices.
For example:

In 1993, a 30 year old male and female in New York paid, on average, annual premiums of $1,200 and $1,800, respectively.
One month after passing Obamacare like reforms, premiums skyrocketed to $3,240. For some, premiums increased by 170 percent.

Also in 1993, Washington enacted Obamacare like reforms and consumer choice swiftly shrunk by dramatic proportions.
At the time, 19 insurance carriers wrote policies for state residents. By 1999, only two carriers were left in the state.
Premium increases led to a 33 percent increase in the uninsured in the same time

In 1994, New Jersey implemented Obamacare-like guaranteed issue and community rating requirements. Rates generally increased 50 percent or more per year for the next decade.

After Massachusetts enacted Obamacare like price controls in 1996, 20 carriers were forced from the insurance market.
The Associated Press reported that before enactment of the 1996 law, premiums as low as $25 per month were available for younger residents in the state.
After the law was passed, premiums for the same individual could be $600 a month or more.

In Kentucky, average premiums jumped between 36 and 165 percent after Obamacare like reforms were enacted. Insurance providers dwindled to just one.

Notice a common theme.. RATES rose and insurance carriers declined!

Remember Obama Prefers a single payer system!
Single payer means 1,300 health insurance companies no longer in business, paying $100 billion a year in Federal/state/local and yes property taxes as offices close, and
400,000 people out of work and that's because..Obama said: "I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program"

Do you folks understand? If he favors ONE payer that means 1,300 PAYERS no longer exist!

Does Obama know that Medicaid and Obamacare have nothing to with each other?

Does he know probably does he care I highly doubt it.

Of course he doesn't care. He knows damn well that the media and the idiots who listen will believe damn near anything he says. When people get away with lying, they just do more of it.

They lied to get the bill passed and are still lying even when people know better.

Meanwhile, the subsidized got what they want and probably love it that Obama is sticking it to the middle class.

Obama?s claim that 7 million got ?access to health care for the first time? because of his Medicaid expansion

of course there are some new folks on medicaid

they too are forced to have insurance or face fines

however folks on medicaid or greatly subsidized

are not going to be the ones

making this pig fly

The purpose of this thread is to show what I've been saying dozens of times being proven again..

Before Obamacare 14 million people counted as "uninsured" by the Census,Obama,et.al. were actually BEFORE Obamacare eligible!
All they need do is register. I know several people that are perfect examples of this.
They are in under 65 and at a poverty level qualifying them for Medicaid.. before Obamacare!
All they need do register with medicaid and they are covered as their income level qualified them!
Why don't they and the other 14 million do also????

So consequently these "out of woodwork" people should have never been counted as "uninsured" and thus reducing the phony 46 million number and thus reducing
the need to pass ACA.
