By any chance are you old enough to remember when we had as President a guy named George Bush? He was President before Obama.

He and his Congress gave us the famous "Patriot Act" after 9/11. You should look it up, read it and see what, by law, the American police/military is able to do to ANY American citizen if it is determined that they are terrorists or associated with terrorists.

I was hating this legislation when it was proposed. And I hate it that Obama has utilized it and expanded it. But it was a Republican that gave it to us.

If Bush would have done the same I would be saying exactly the same thing. Someone needs to challenge the notion that the government can kill anyone they want at any time in court. My belief is that the SCOTUS would stop that practice in it tracks by a 9-0 decision, the 5th amendment is pretty clear.

Let's go about this rationally. What has Obama really done to warrant his impeachment from office?

Article II, Section 4 of the US Constitution says:

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High crimes and Misdemeanors.

To the conservative Republicans, I am curious, other than talking points and rhetoric, or what has he really done to meet the criteria set forth in the Impeachment Clause? If all you have are talking points and rhetoric, you are only giving the other side more leverage. Let it be known that I am not defending nor endorsing Obama.

For the liberal Democrats, your answers would inevitably be that he has done 'nothing' to be impeached for. So I'm asking you to explain why in detail. No "Bush did this" or "Reagan did that." No trying to justify his actions by the actions of previous administrations. If you cannot explain why he hasn't done anything to warrant impeachment, be advised, you are giving the other side more leverage.

I just want honest explanations. That is it, that is all. My personal opinion on this subject is this:

While Obama has violated the Constitution on plenty of occasions (which is NOT the subject of this thread), he hasn't committed any 'high crimes or misdemeanors' what he has done is higher in severity than just petty crimes and must be settled among the courts. He has ignored the power of a duly elected congress, and has exceeded his power as sitting president. However, seeking his impeachment would be foolish. Impeaching him would create a political circus. If such an attempt were to succeed (which it won't for various reasons); it would be putting an even more incompetent leader in power. Joe Biden. Do you really want that? I wouldn't. Seeking his impeachment would only energize his base, and turn the tables on a promising election for Republicans this year. If you want to punish him, punish him at the polls. It's that easy.

Let's go about this realistically.

Obama has a father who was born in Africa; his name is very different than all of the men who preceded him to the highest office in the land, and he is a compassionate conservative. These are things that have put impeachment on the table, political theater is all it is.

Let's begin with the FACT - that he was never eligible to even run for office in the first place - that he is foreign born is beyond refute .

Obama and unrepentant terrorist William Ayers misappropriated over 300 million dollars in donations meant for the education of Chicagos minority students. They routed the money to Obamas community activist buddies who then tried to turn the students in radicals. The program was a total failure.

2. Obama, as an Illinois State Senator, redirected tens of millions in Illinois tax dollars to Valerie Jarrett and Tony Rezko, to provide housing for low income families. They returned the favor with political donations. The housing units were built with cheap materials and labor and are uninhabitable after a mere 10 years of use.

3. Obama accepted millions in illegal campaign contributions from foreign credit cards after the credit card filters used to screen out foreign money, was switched off. This also allowed domestic donors, who were over the legal limit, to contribute more.

4. Obama and the Clintons efforts to bring the US under the UNs Small Arms Treaty are direct violations of the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.

5. Obama attempted to move control of the Census Bureau from the Commerce Department to the White House, to be managed by then Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel. In an attempt to control and manipulate the statistics produced and disemminated.

6. Obama had provided under the radar amnesty to illegal immigrants by allowing ICE Director John Morton to prohibit ICE officers from enforcing US immigration laws.

7. Obama allowed USAG Holder to ignore the violation of US immigration laws in the sanctuary cities, i.e.,San Francisco, etc.

8. Obama has failed to defend US soil in Arizona as Mexican troops bring illegals and drugs into the USA, crossing the border doing so. This is a direct violation of Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution.

Obama has a father who was born in Africa; his name is very different than all of the men who preceded him to the highest office in the land, and he is a compassionate conservative. These are things that have put impeachment on the table, political theater is all it is.
