Inspired by the bit from Monty Python's "The Life of Brian," I thought I'd google around to find a list of accomplishments we owe thanks to Democrats and liberals for giving us:

"But I thought it would be helpful to put in list form all of the accomplishments and achievements and victories of Progressives, Liberals and Democrats over the last century.

Liberals are evil communists/crypto-Marxists, they can't do anything.

The Green Party can't do anything. Starting with win elections. Consequently no one complains about them because they're not a threat. Only time people go to this much trouble to disparage someone or something is when they in fact are a real concern or threat. :)

I think that you forgot the Child Tax Credit. Social conservatives LOVE that one (maybe we should start calling them "Social-Conservatives" with the hyphen ;) )

Report: New regulations cost $216B and 87 million hours of paperwork. What do they reap?
Report: New regulations cost $216B and 87 million hours of paperwork. What do they reap?

The federal government imposed an estimated $216 billion in regulatory costs on the economy last year, nearly double its previous record, the conservative American Action Forum think tank calculates in a new report. That figure represents a mixture of lifetime costs – how much one regulation will affect the economy over time –
and annualized costs, because agencies estimate regulatory costs differently.
The same report calculates that the regulations put nearly 87 million hours of paperwork burdens on the economy, or the equivalent of a year’s work for some 43,000 full-time employees.
The big paperwork drivers were the Dodd-Frank financial regulation law and the Affordable Care Act.

So the list includes those rules and regulations that cost the economy $216 billion a year.

Then let's consider the costs of the UN for example:
5 wars.. WWII, Korea.. Vietnam Iraq War on Poverty..ALL driven by a Democrat President AND the UN membership...
Cumulative costs $17 trillion
1941-1945 World War II in 2008 $ 4.114 trillion
1950-1953 Korea in 2008 $320 billion
1965-1975 Vietnam in 2008 $ 686 billion
1990-1991 Persian Gulf War in 2008 $ 96 billion
2003-Present Iraq 2008 $648 billion
2008-present Afghanistan 2008$ 171 billion
Costs of Major U.S. Wars

1965- present War on poverty $12.5 trillion.
Total welfare spending has climbed almost as much: Governments are now disbursing $908 billion a year to alleviate poverty, up from $256 billion (also in constant dollars) in 1965.
from 1965 to 2014 per year of $256 billion or $12.5 trillion over the 49 years.

Yup we have all of the above thanks to the Democrats!
Then let's consider the costs of Social security for example...
At the close of the federal government's 2012 fiscal year, the federal government had $67.7 trillion in debts, liabilities, and unfinanced obligations for current Social Security and Medicare participants. This equates to $215,311 for every person living in the U.S. or $559,331 per household.

And these are JUST 3 areas that Democrats TAKE credit for...

Rules Regulations $200 billion more a year

Most, but not all, laws passed by liberals have a core of necessary goals. Overlaid on that core is layer upon layer of nonsense.
