What is the goal of capitalism?

It's not from make-work government jobs, that's for sure.
Is that you Todd?

You should look that up. Let me know how it helps your claims.
Notice how Todd can't even define what he means by "production" and being productive. He claims that the poor are in that condition, exclusively because they're supposedly unproductive, yet he's unwilling or unable to define what production is or what it means to be productive. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.

In a country where 35% of the population doesn’t have enough money for basic human needs, your response is fuck them. No intelligent person should think as you do.

He's a great ally of socialism, without even knowing it. Just keep promoting capitalism Todd, thanks.

This isn’t effective or fair. You’re fine with living in a nation full of impoverished people, as long as you’ve got yours. However, some of us see the senselessness of this corrupt system and we care about our fellow citizens.

Income inequality is an interesting topic. There's nothing wrong with it, in my view, if it's simply the outcome of a free market. That's just society expressing its values. The question, that I think you're focused on, is how the market is skewed to favor certain interests by state policy.

That's certainly a concern, but we should focus on eliminating that kind of interference, rather that eliminating free trade.

If you can't find basic definitions in economics, I can't help you.

The commie ones don't work very well.

Not exclusively, but mostly.

He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.

You're free to post evidence that refutes my claim.

Productivity is a measure of economic performance that compares the amount of goods and services produced (output) with the amount of inputs used to produce those goods and services.

Looks pretty clear to me.

So how does this apply to people being poor?
