Tens of millions of people, not being able to adequately meet their basic needs, like food and housing, create an unstable environment that increases drug use, violent crime, incarceration, homelessness, prostitution, domestic violence, child abuse, more abortions or unwanted children being put up for adoption, who often end up in the fostercare system..etc.

The destructive societal repercussions of such social ills are blunted, even eliminated by universal full-time employment, that pays a living wage.
