What Will Replace the Current D Fantasies?

The problem with the Democratic party is that they do not acknowledge that this election was a self-inflicted wound that could turn into a much more serious problem. They have self-segregated into echo chambers since at least the Nixon years and now they are doubling down on dumb.

Climate change is an acknowledgement that AGW was and is crap because as Poincare demonstrated in the three body problem in the 1800s deterministic is not necessarily predictable. In 1961 Lorenz made the general proof of chaos being the result of deterministic systems always being to some degree unpredictable.

Economic planning as with Obamacare involves more variables than can be modelled. An economy with 100 million actors and 10 million products involves more than 1 quintillion interactions plus knock on effects. (N-1)N for each part of the model and then multiply the sums and that ignores logistics and marketing almost completely.

So, when and if, the Democrats join the 20th century they will still be having major problems. Luckily for them the Rs have more or less backed into a 20th century ideology and still are not upto a level of comprehension that they can offer a coherent and consistent of their positions.

So, what can be expected?
Well stated. Trump and the GOP have a fantastic opportunity but they have to get focused, prioritize and solidify their positions both foreign and domestic. Let's give Trump the same chance that every President has to put his administration and plans in place.
let's hope he does.

We've been here before and they've (establishment pubs) kicked us in the teeth.
We shall see.

Trump will have the opportunity to govern in ways that Obama was not given.

The Republican Party created an environment where merely having your name appear on legislation signed by Obama resulted in a primary challenge - even if it was legislation that originated on the right.

Meanwhile, Schumer is already talking about where he can work with his fellow New Yorker. By contrast, If Mitch McConnell said he was going to look for areas of agreement with Obama, he would have been run out of town. This is why the very first thing he said after Obama's election was that he intended to make Obama a 1 term president. And it's why John McCain said that none of Hillary's Supreme Court nominees would be considered. They were actively preparing to shut down the Constitutional rights of the next democratic president. They were not going to let Hillary do anything, so it's almost better that she is gone.

The democrats are weak. They allowed a Supreme Court nomination to be stolen. They allowed Bernie to get railroaded by the Clintons.

Hillary said Trump "deserved an open mind" whereas Trump said he would not accept the results if he lost. This is why so many Democrats took to the streets in protest. Their party sucks. They have no voice. They have no presence on the radio, and their representation on TV has been shrinking since 1980. The GOP has outperformed them at every level, including with think tanks, which simulate academic rigor but create paid-for-conclusions. The game is over.

The only reason the Democrats lost is that Hillary Clinton was a bad choice.

There is little chance the Democrats will make that mistake again.

Trump....the only candidate Hillary can beat. Ummmmmm.......

She beat him, just not in the way our creepy electoral system demands.

It's true, he had almost 32% more electoral votes than she did.

How much do you think her slush fund...err...Foundation donations will drop next year?
You know, when she can't sell future access to government favors?

No, except maybe for the mainstream Ds, the socialist wing will survive and the Rs may split in that case. The socialists will tend to caucus with the establishment Rs and the TEA party will be the populist working class party. What is more likely is 24 years in the political wilderness.
