Where is the home for "Less Spending" Conservatives? :dunno:

The "Less Thinking" Conservatives seem to have taken over the brand.

Is CHANGE it too late? Change is drawn out as a "Liberal" ideology today.

When did the conservatives become tightassed with spending? There's a difference between spending on wallstreet, bank bail-outs and nation building and spending on our own nation.

The conservatives of the 50's would of spent on our own nation and would of done so to keep America number one...I expect sensibility when I see conservatives...Not cut, slash and burn just because. It really is the support for the family that defines conservatives!

Also, conservatives in the day supported science and maintaining their own country...Maintance is something that is apart of life.

Infrastructure, science, r&d and education isn't the problem. WE need people that want accountability but not idiocy.

"When did the conservatives become tightassed with spending?" True. The Obamaphone was the BushPhone before Obama.

" It really is the support for the family that defines conservatives!" ~ Now that was a pretty real statement in a day where we cut food to the TRUELY disabled and spend on war rampidly.

Actually most conservatives have always been advocates 'more of.'

More war, more government intrusion into citizens' private lives, more reactionaryism, more oppression of minorities, more fear of change and diversity, more contempt of individual liberty, and more efforts to compel conformity through force of law.

It's so funny, the republican / conservative replies. History is malleable in their world, let us hark back to the fifties and that liberal President, Eisenhower. Too too funny. When all your party does is kiss the feet of the wealthy, odd isn't it.

"This is when the Republican Party set its trap. Meeting in closed sessions at the beginning of the Obama regime, the party of tax cuts for the rich, unfunded wars, and the largest deficit in the history of the country redefined itself. It suddenly became the party of deficit reduction through lean government joined to supreme confidence in unregulated financial and corporate markets. It even opposed the bail out of General Motors and Chrysler, though these actions stopped unemployment from reaching a dangerous tipping point, allowed the two companies time to reconstruct themselves, and enabled them to pay back the loans within two years–-creating one of the most successful bailouts in the history of Euro-American economic life." The Contemporary Condition The Republican Pincer Machine

"President Eisenhower describes his administration's political philosophy as 'dynamic conservatism,' then as 'progressive, dynamic conservatism,' then as 'progressive moderation,' then as 'moderate progressivism,' and then as 'positive progressivism.'" William Manchester, quote from 'The Power and Glory,' great history book.

Talk of "more of." Why is it we are seeing "more of" these types of useless threads? No link, no reasoning, just "more of" a false paradigm being presented then the left bleating over it.
