1. Key Biscayne where I was born about 25% of my life. Still have house there but only my live in house keeper and my 3 Pekingese live there. Travel about 12 times a year sleep there probably 30 or 35 or so days in a year. Want to sell it but my kids wants to keep it.

2. Palm Springs but only my other live in sitter live there also. In a month probably 10 or 15 days especially during this time when the weather is a little cooler.
Rented a condo in La Jolla, San Diego about 130 miles from PS. So I can get closer to my kids and their families.

Where in Chicago?

Northern burbs...Glenview, attended HS in Northbrook, then after graduation Rolling Meadows and Palatine.

Used to be neighbors. Wheeling high school

Back in HS we used to hang out in the forest preserves around Wheeling.

Chicago area forest preserves were someone's good idea a long time ago.

Nope. Started when I was a wee baby , although Alaska was only 4 summers. My dad was in business and always getting promoted. It was awful as a kid, but man do I appreciate the experiences now.
Almost lived in Japan...but my sis and I complained that he'd ruin our teen years if we moved there. Wish we had now.

Isn't where you are FROM and where you have lived two different things? You can only be from ONE place. I am from Massachusetts.

But is it where you born or grew up? I was born at North western hospital Chicago but grew up in wheeling Illinois,

I would think it was where you grew up, where you spent most of your childhood, where you went to school. Some people have moved around a bit as children too I suppose though. That must suck.

Maybe, maybe not. I didn't "move around" in terms of uprooting and relocating, but all my extended family were in Mississippi so to me the terms "cousin", "aunt" and "uncle" meant somebody who lived over a thousand miles away, talked with a whole different accent and had a different cuisine, and we went back and forth constantly, so it was always obvious there were other cultures and subcultures and dialects. I think that's why I love long-distance driving.

(My parents were from opposite sides of the Mason Dixon line).
