I didn't know myself! Not until I heard he passed away today and saw what he had done. When I tell you, you'll wonder yourself how you never heard of him.
Robert Watts was a British film producer. He was involved in many of the most epic films of the '70s and '80s, which is to say, some of the most epic films ever created. He started out as the production and location manager for the James Bond film: You Only Live Twice. From there, he went on to be the production manager for the films: 2001 A Space Odyssey, Papillon, and the first Star Wars movie: A New Hope.
Then he became the Associate Producer for The Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of The Lost Ark!
Then he became the Co-Producer for Return Of The Jedi.
Finally, he was the film producer for Indiana Jones And The Temple of Doom, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, Alive, and other features. He was even the Executive Producer for the Steven Seagal film: On Deadly Ground. Now aren't you amazed you didn't know the guy?
His half brother even played the character of Boba Fett
Robert Watts passed away today at the age of 86.
