1. a US military intervention in the Syrian civil war is strongly opposed by the vast majority of the American public. A recent poll showed just nine percent of Americans backing US military involvement. She probably doesn’t see another war in the Muslim world as a vote winner in 2016.

2. she may well be harbouring doubts over the White House approach, which beyond the talk of airstrikes, lacks a coherent strategy, and the president hasn’t exactly made a clear-cut case that taking America to war in Syria is in the national interest.

3. as “the Obama doctrine” goes down in flames in the Middle East, from Damascus to Cairo, Clinton will be nervous about being seen as part and parcel of it, which of course she is.

4: Clinton’s own track record on Syria has hardly been stellar. Before Syria descended into war, Clinton was a strong backer of engagement with Syria, greatly underestimating the nature of the Baathist regime, famously referring to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as a “reformer” in April 2011. In addition, as Washington’s most senior foreign policy official, Clinton did little to stand up to Moscow’s aggressive support for the Syrians, eager to appease the Russians through the controversial “reset” strategy, which was her own brainchild. In addition, the Secretary of State was weak in the face of Iran, whose military and financial backing for the Assad regime has been vital to its survival.

Never forget. At this point what difference does it make? Anyway, she is concentrating on 2016. In order to garner the Muslim vote she is converting to Islam. Her new Muslim name: Seldom bin Layed.

The real point is that she was Sec of State, and she is a potential '16 presidential candidate, why hasn't NBC asked her opinion? Where is the MSM reporting her POV?

MSM will do everything in their power to cover her immensely wide butt. They're feeling guilty for throwing her under the bus in '08.

It's a volatile situation that Hussein's incoherent foreign policy got us into and Hillary is part of it. Democrats are at their best when they keep a low profile and wait until the situation takes care of itself or they get cover from the liberal media.

 You're assuming a lot here, Samson.

Terrific: Post whatever you got about Hillary's thoughts regarding the present Syrian situation, and then we won't need to assume anything.

Why would you post she's nervous about any of it? She just isn't inclined to say or do anything about Syria. The president has said he isn't talking boots on the ground. There needs to be some decisions made but not by Hillary.

Did I say she needs to be making decisions?

:eusa_hand:

You'd think a RECENT Sec of State, and Possible presidential candidate, would simply have an opinion....

But you could be right: maybe she's at home baking cookies, and wondering whether or not to make chocolate chip, or oatmeal tomorrow.

She seemed pretty burned out, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if she's just staying out of the public eye kinda like Bush jr did after he retired.

Plus if she's considering a prez run in 2016 why say anything she might regret in a few years, there is nothing to gain from it.

She's not saying anything for the same reason she left the state department. She has a presidency to steal and she's not about to let Barry or the Libya mess get in her way. She a bitch, but not a stupid bitch.
