Zone1 Why are there so many "religious" threads on this board?

Nope REAL Christianity reflects the teachings of Jesus. There is no evil in His teachings
People - especially atheists that are antagonistic towards Christianity - have a tendency to blur lines when debating. They will blame religion for the actions of men instead of actually describing the full distribution and they will blame God for the actions of men also without describing the full distribution. And when they do blame God for deformities or suffering they will conveniently forget all that is good and fail to give God the credit for that.

Is it any wonder God put himself on trial? God knew that jackanapes would unjustly put him on trial on a daily basis.

By any objective measure militant atheism has not been a force for good.
Militant anything is not a force for good. The best is can be is a counter to evil.

Is it really that hard to not condemn respect for others because they believe in a Creator? Because if that is still your intention, then don't be surprised when I shove my boot up your ass and show you how ridiculous you are behaving. Go be happy instead.
I'm not sure I know what 'condemn respect' means or if I'm guilty of it but I don't recall condemning anyone who believes in a creator especially since, as an agnostic, I allow there may be one.

You ooze superiority in your condescending posts. Do we seriously need to be having this conversation. You know full well why you come here. Just ask yourself if this is how you talk to your Christian friends and family.

You are taking this personal. Go be happy instead.

Can't speak for the poster with whom you're exchanging dialogue, but just as a casual observer, and generally speaking, I find the loudest of the the so-called ''believers'' to routinely be the main purveyors of that whole superiority/condescending vibe.

Certainly there are some equally offensive non-believers, but it seems like the former routinely feeds off the latter and often vice versa as well.

Kind of like the political left/right and red/blue paradigm.

Anyway. I usually stay out of this section. But was just flipping through and decided to share my thought on it.

Have a nice day, ding...

You need to take a break from this place.
.

No I don't ... You can shut up too ding-dong.
Don't know what she is thinking ... Actually never had problem with Disir, kind of liked her ... Starting to though ... :auiqs.jpg:

I kind of liked Bones too ... Never really liked you though ding-dong ... Not that it would matter.

I am. Very. I have peace through the storm. We know this because I'm not trolling an atheist website looking to create conflict for no other reason than they believe different than me. I would say this place has turned you into a real piece of shit but that would just be making an excuse for you.

If it's fair game is to criticize Christianity for the bad acts of a few, then it is certainly fair game to criticize atheism for the bad acts of a few.

Harsh words from someone at peace. Maybe we should just ignore each other.

Yes, they were harsh. But it's because they are true that I'm at peace. I don't give a minute of thought for people like yourself, donald, hobelim, breezewood, greatestiam, etc. I just as soon never speak to any of you at all, but I think you guys are dangerous. Whether it be governments or individuals trampling on my free expression of faith it feels exactly the same. You want freedom from religion but yet you are here. So that's not what you want. You want everyone to be free from religion. You want to subordinate religion. But you come by it honestly. You are a socialist and socialists have always and will always attempt to subordinate religion. Liberty and freedom are intricately woven to religion and morality. You have no idea what kind of danger you are.

I always did say preachers could be carnival barkers on the side. ;)

I've never met a single preacher yet who actually knew anything about God. Sam Kinison started out as a "preacher."

*shrugs*

That alignment is a troublesome thing. The Beautress ID slipped and used the same alignment and I put both IDs on ignore for awhile.
It drives me crazy. And the same emoji every post.

I think Jesus was louder, no one showed they had a problem hearing him, with crowds there even. He was not doing anything wrong. But he was not giving any superiority/condescending vibe. And he had followers, who did not stay quiet, still without any superiority/condescending vibe. I'm pretty sure that can be read into communication from someone thinking differently when it is not even there. We do not really know the mind of others beyond what they really say.

There's a great revival of interest in religion on account of it evolving as necessary to answer the tough questions posed by the obvious fact that the bibles speak the impossible.

Christians want to know the truth and are no longer content with having to invent stories to suit the bibles' teaching.

And now we're going to learn shortly that the Christians' attempt to credit the big bang to thier god is in serious trouble!

This is a political forum, and as such, it relates to religion

For you see, both religion and politics preaches how people should live their lives. It just so happens that Left wing ideology has become the most successful religion of this era, and as such, is sometimes at conflict with other religions, such as Christianity.

So for the Left, they must either then crush Christianity, or subvert it so that Jesus bows his knee to their authority as you see self professed Christians like Warnock and Biden doing.

Really, this is their last obstacle for a total take over of society and the world.
I don't think the left wing religion has been successful

Think Lori Lightfoot (failed to get re-elected.. failed BIG time)

And there are other examples I could use

The Rs won the House. Then they won a lot of other things when the Speakership was in question some time ago. :)

Christians are not looking (necessarily) to "anser the tough questions..."

they already have a REAL thing w/ Jesus (though some have a more real thing than others)

Some of us do not just read His words now and then. He is more real to some of us than humans ever will be or could be
