Why didn't he say those who are baptized or those who work?

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Why didn't he say, "those who are baptized" or "those who work" shall receive the remission of sins? He said, "whosoever believeth in him".

Because if you have faith in Christ you will be baptized and keep His commandments, but if you those things without faith, you cannot be saved.

What about people that haven't been baptized and have lead an odorous life, but seek God on their death bed? Do they have a shot and if so, how?
