Judaism is a religion practiced by all races of people. However, within the religion there is racism. Blacks in Israel face racism daily and in America black Jews are leaving the religion because of the racism of white Jews. So why does this get ignored?

Researchers unveil massive study on Jews of color, boosting fight for racial justice with hard data

In some cases, Jews of color said they are ignored. In others they are casually interrogated about their race and ethnicity. Respondents said white Jews will sometimes presume a need to educate them about Jewish rituals or assume they are present in synagogues or schools as nannies and security guards rather than community members.

Some 80% of respondents said they have experienced discrimination in Jewish settings.

Titled “Beyond the Count,” the study out of Stanford University corroborates with data and the anecdotes of racism in the Jewish community that have been widespread for years.

The study’s sponsor and research team hope the findings will jolt Jewish institutions into funding initiatives for and by Jews of color and changing the composition of decision-making bodies to reflect Jewish diversity.

“This study validates the experiences of Jews of color, and it also takes away a bit of the illusion that Jewish community organizations are doing enough to respond to racism and racial injustice,” said Ilana Kaufman, executive director of the Jews of Color Initiative, which commissioned and funded the study. Kaufman also shared her reaction to the study in an essay.

So how about we look at the study?

“I went to Shabbat services recently and a woman came up to me and said without introducing herself, ‘Shabbat Shalom. So are you here for a religion class? Did you convert?’” he recalled.

Ok , it sounds uncomfortable, not nice... no one wants to be discriminated against, but not every case of "racism" is all the same. Some are people who are only used to what they are used to seeing... it can be ignorance but not neccesarily hatred or racism.... Some things still take time. I wouldnt say everyone is ignoring it. People still have to learn throughout their life. Its a process.

I knew Sammy Davis Jr was Jewish, but I believe he converted. What is the percentage of black Jews worldwide?
Sammy Davis was not the only black Jew. I don't know the percentage but there are plenty of African Jews. Here are just a few names of black Jews in America.

Please stop trying to make excuses for racism. People know what racism is, it has gone past just being ignorant.

Back in the 1980's Israel welcomed the Ethiopian Jews by the thousands and they have been tormented ever since.

Ah. A new way to discuss the OP’s obsession with race. Might as well get in a smattering of anti Semitism while he’s at it.

More Jew bashing from the purveyor of hate. Maybe we should have a similar discussion on Blacks discrimination on other Blacks based on the the darkness of their skin color.

No clue globally but there are conflicting numbers in the US so 6-15% depending on whose numbers you believe. Probably somewhere in between.

Black America’s Anti-Semitism Problem

“not the real Jews”

“While this phrase has been used by many throughout history, today it is most commonly used by Black supremacists claiming Black people — not Jews — are the true chosen people of God. Black supremacy has roots in “Black Chosenness”…”

You need to ask yourself why you have an irrational hatred of people who live in a nation of mostly refugees and immigrants from all over the world.

That is precisely what is being considered by millions .

If they decide that the religion is truly Cult , based on garbage and outright falsehoods and run by power crazed people, views will change .
Many might conclude that as in Israel presently , a Nazi type tail is wagging a mangy dog breed and and that matters must change .
Such discussion needs to happen, but based on informed and open debate , and must avoid the usual defense mechanism of anti semitism being used to try and defend what many believe to be the indefensible .
imho

When will people even ask why non Palestinians can’t be in their military or government or even live inside of Gaza like Palestinians are allowed to do in Israel?

You may well raise interesting points but they are pin pricks in comparison to the basic reasons for hate of each other , plus the ruling situation where an insane Israeli position is based on Ethnic Cleansing .
A very few more steps of escalation and Israel might find its very existence being threatened .
Keep your eyes on the Hezzers and action in north Israel as well as in Lebanon.
That, plus continued and perhaps increased Hooty Tooty shipping action, is how other countries are most likely to start getting involved. And Syria if illegal US bases are attacked again
imho
