The United States has 35,255 confirmed cases of the coronavirus so far. New York state has 15,168 of them. That is about 43% of the nation's coronavirus cases, yet that state only comprises about 6% of the country's population. However, they are currently at a 0.369% fatality rate. What is happening there? It looks like expanded testing may demonstrate that many people have the virus and are not getting extremely sick or dying.

Hub of global business combined with too many people not enough real estate.

Think about riding public transportation...this bus, that subway, another bus...packed together like human sardines.

NYC is one of the most popular destinations in the world. It was one of the first places visited by infected people from Wuhan was NYC. That's why.

Population density.

Six states have a higher population density than New York. New Jersey has the highest. Florida has about the same population density as New York, a slightly higher population, and less than one fifteenth the number of cases. I suspect that when they ramped up testing, they found out a lot more people have it that was previously thought.

I am guessing that it is because New York has the biggest city in the U.S. in it which of course is New York City?

God bless you and the people of New York always!!!

It is interesting to see that, according to the site I watch, there are no reported cases as having recovered.

They are the majority of new deaths in the U.S. (a very small percentage of the cases).

But, you would expect that at some point, some of the cases would resolve as "recovered".

The answer is simple,,
they have the highest density of people with the worst policies and politicians in the country,,,

Should be a sign for the other states to close their borders to people from NY, California and Washington

Maybe, maybe not. Not being able to know is pretty self explanatory isn't it?

If you you look at a map showing the locations of the infections, an honest person can see the areas with the most cases are all democrat ran sh*tholes.
