Why does the left believe a corporate tax break "steals" money from the taxpayers?

Maybe you'd like to answer the question then:

Show me a single instance where the government increased the taxpayer's tax rate, because some corporation got a tax break.

And that answers my question.

It must be free computer access day at the group home today.

You can't, can you? I ask you to provide some proof of something, and all you can do is hurl insults.

If I provided proof, would you understand it?

You haven't provided proof of anything other than you don't know.

You're right. I haven't. NYCarbineer has though, and it went right over your head. So why would I waste my time when you clearly can't keep up.

Of course I understood what he was trying to say. But he failed to take into account the number of additional workers corporations hire, if they can afford to.

Don't you realize that those new workers also pay income and sales taxes?

How many times have you heard "Corporate tax breaks are being subsidized by the tax-paying public" or "The tax payers are having to foot the bill for a private company"?

Those are ignorant statements. A tax break given to a corporation isn't existing money the government has already collected from taxpayers, it's some of the money those corporations have earned on their own. Money which they don't have to pay to the government. They earned it, and they own it.

That would be equivalent to saying that the general public has some right to a corporation's earnings which anyone can tell you, is socialism.

Every dollar a corporation doesn't pay in taxes has to be paid by someone else,

all else being equal.
The One Percenter of the right wing prefers to cut social spending to pay for the rich getting richer faster.

The muppets in this thread complaining about corporate taxes being too high are from the same nuthouse that constantly complains about taxes on the poor being too low.

Who ever said lower-income people's taxes are too low? I don't remember hearing anyone say that.
/---/ it's a straw man argument

You've gotten your wish for 60 years:

US_Effective_Corporate_Tax_Rate_1947-2011_v2.jpg

What have we gotten out of it?
/----/ we've gotten lower consumer prices for starters.

End the drug war, right wingers. don't be socialists on a national basis; y'all have a majority in Congress, now.
/----/ as soon as libs stop the war on guns.
10USC246 is federal law, right wingers; don't be illegals to federal law, but blame less fortunate illegals, for being illegal.
/----/ being less fortunate makes crime OK???
There is a religious, technical term; the right wing just doesn't seem to care, in the public domain.

They don't cut spending when they cut taxes.
No shit. Half of our spending shouldnt even exist. But that fact doesnt matter to the left. So they make up corny bullshit to justify their ridiculousness.

PAYGO was working in the nineties and then Bush and the GOP, once they got control, let it expire. We know what happened then...

big tax cuts, big spending, big deficits.

I'll stop believe in taxing corporations when they're prohibited from lobbying congress and contributing to political campaigns.

And yet, you make a broad statement but can't provide a single example to back it up? Did Trump say "lower-income people's taxes are too low"? Last I heard from his administration on the subject of taxes, was when Steve Bannon wanted to raise upper-income earner's taxes...

Bannon's bright idea

Obviously you're full of shit. You use politically-incorrect words like "retarded", while pretending to be the "compassionate" liberal. You say ignorant things but never have any proof to back them up.

My work is done here.

Everyone who complained about the infamous 47% who pay no federal income tax.

Every RW'er on this board who has said, about taxes, that everyone should have some 'skin in the game', IOW, everyone should pay income tax, no matter how poor they are.

"Everyone"? I've never said that.

BTW: Keep your eyes on the market today. We'reheaded for another big bump up and some pretty amazing profit reports.

/----/ Libtards have a second issue as well. They can't grasp the notion that corporations treat taxes as overhead that gets passed on to the consumer. In effect, corporate taxes are taxes on the consumer.

So lower taxes on a corporation allows them to buy more capital equipment and materials, to give more raises to existing employees, to hire more employees, to keep from outsourcing to foreign countries, and to keep the price of their product affordable.

That's a win-win situation.

Except most the investing is done in china.

Your argument sounds peachy keen if companies were struggling to get operating capital or money for expansion. It ignores the fact that corporations are already awash in cash and capital and haven't used it to buy equipment or give raises so the likelihood of them using tax breaks for anything other than largest shareholder dividends is slim and none.

Tax breaks are great if the budget is balanced and infrastructure is in good shape, but since neither is true, cutting taxes is both unwise and not sound fiscal policy.

Of course they should, otherwise you have a political party who constantly keeps the poor, poor, but gives them FREE STUFF, so they will have to be enslaved to that very government that keeps them poor. Liberalism is all about equality, everyone will be equally poor and equally miserable, that is called FAIRNESS.
