Listening to everything the GOP and Libertarians have to say, I have to say I viamently disagree with the direction they want to take America. They are a very selfish group.

Paul Ryan, the father of a Republican budget initiative that seeks to destroy Medicare and Social Security has continually invoked the name of Ayn Rand as his philosophical mentor and guide. Many other Republicans have do so too. They are embracing a philosophy which, according to Ayn Rand herself, is one of selfishness and is against all forms of Spirituality. The question any thoughtful Americans must ask themselves is: “Is this the America we want?”

And how do they get evangelicals to go along with them is beyond me.

And Libertarians don't believe in the Commons. What are the Commons?

The Commons are resources that are owned by all of us. That includes the Grand Canyon, oil rights, power companies, roads, public airwaves, schools, etc.

Here is how they think. Libertarians think if we all own the land on which our sheep graze, we will each add one too many sheep until we destroy the land for future generations. That We the People can't manage the commons.

Libertarians think that if one person owns the land and charged everyone else grazing fees, he would be more committed to preserving it for the future than a village of farmers.

Most RW libertarians I talk to on the internet have so many conflicting opinions it makes my head hurt. It really does not matter, you ca, spend all you like, you can credit Unions and Progressive policies. The debate is not that these policies don't work in the short run it's that they destroy all countries in the long run, open a history book or just look at our own country... 7. The rich have never been richer. The gap between the CEO and workers has never been wider. Pass a law that the CEO can't make anymore than 100 times the lowest paid worker. Then workers will once again share in their companies profits. They earned it, not only the CEO and Executives
8. Undo Citizens United and lets pass Campaign finance reform. And deal with out of control lobbyists. Take back our government. Right now it works for the top 1%, not us 99%.

The US Has the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world...35%.
Wealthy people are saddled with the majority of the US Federal tax burden.
Government takes our money and uses it most unwisely. And poeple like you have the nerve to demand we surrender more. Why?

Housing prices housing starts and days on market have shown no signs of getting back on track.
High energy prices are leaving Americans with even LESS money in their pockets.
As previously stated, the economy would improve in spite of Obama because Obama has no interest in seeing any improvement.
Oh, just because U-3 is shrinking, does not mean more people are finding full time permanent work. U-6 has not budged downward.
Until those roughly three million people who have lost their jobs since 2009 find work on a full time basis, there is no such thing as a downward move in the unemployment rate. The REAL rate.
Until home prices and values begin to increase, there is no recovery.
Until sales of durable goods and manufacturing show growth , there is no improvement.

In reading through this I was just going to ask just which republicans is she/he referring to who were born with sliver spoons in mouths. Certainly not I, not by a damn sight. I wish. If Ted Kennedy wasn't born with the proverbial silver spoon, then I'd like to know who was. I want the government neither helping me or controlling me -- other than it is already. I am quite capable of taking care of myself and when the day comes I can't --- I want to be left to die in peace. I am doing just as I please whether it fits the liberal rules or not: I eat meat, condone hunting, cutting down trees if need be, drive a big car, two big cars actually, and I make every effort not to "go green." Schools of higher learning/brainwashing are cranking out socialists in the political science field like a Gatling gun, unions are closing American factories because their demands cannot be met, plus they all want to kill their boss and support anyone (case in point, JHHatfield) who tries, so a lot of people are saying, why start a business when the unions will take my profits to destroy me as a competitor; the DNC arranges to import voters for their exclusive claim to get votes, which means they have to compromise American sovereignty to stay in power.

I'm not an economist, but I don't see our country surviving as anything but a union dictatorship in the future if the idiot professors don't get a clue about their contribution to the demise of Bill of Rights freedoms to get lesser privileges for themselves,
