Why the Middle East needs More Kings.

Should of never messed with them, but we couldn't let Russia take Afghanistan I guess. Maybe Afghanistan would of been better off though. Beirut use to be the Paris of the Middle East.

Maybe Russia should have kept the Czar.
uhmm

interesting thought.

If they had the world would be a much different place.

maybe russia would have become a republic
there certainly would not have been a Cold War
If WW2 happened, it would have gone much differently
The Czar was toppled because he joined WW1 and made his people suffer for it.

The Czar was an inept idiot.

Thus the Czar and all his vermin family were exterminated by the People.

Look what came after.
Lenin grabbed power for himself. He could not resist. He became a demigod like a king. And the Communist experiment failed, just as it has failed everywhere else.

Hitler more than anyone else created Stalin and gave him power over Eastern Europe.

Hitler has nothing to do with the Russian Czar.

Two countries where it is reasonably (and I use the word cautiously) stable.

The kingdoms of Jordan and Morocco.

Maybe we should discuss why they are.

Interesting topic though?

And I did say, the lesser of the evils. It all amounts to that, in the end.
well it's been made painfully clear that ruthless tyrants kept the islamists in check. to busy killing each other for crumbs to really bother with the rest of the world

Interesting conjecture.

But what would have happened when the tyrant died?
sons usually take over
they kill some generals, so other leaders
like in N Korea

Nepotism, you mean?

I shudder to think of Saddam's playboy sons.
Saddam's sons would have been no different than Saddam.

Same as Syria is no different under Junior.

Can't believe he'd been a doctor in London.

Lenin, who had been enjoying a nice exile in Switzerland, was put on a sealed train by the Germans, and sent to Russia, in the hope of ending WW1. It also destroyed a fledging democratic socialist revolution.

Democracy is a horrible form of government due to a couple unavoidable aspects of human nature: There are more idiots than smart people, idiots tend to vote en masse when they get charged up about something, and the people who are attracted to politics are often self-aggrandizing, self-dealing, power-hungry ass-holes. One could write a book about why democracy is horrible.

Even the Framers of the U.S. Constitution knew that "The People" could not be trusted with any important decisions - that those decisions must be made by elected representatives who made it their life's work to be informed and make decisions rationally.

Clearly, a dictatorship is the most efficient form of government, but those who would become dictators are of necessity seriously flawed individuals.

Make me king. I won't fuck things up too badly.

Constitutional monarchy is a cornerstone of many stable democracies – so why are we so keen to avoid it in places like Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan?

Why the Middle East needs more kings
Kings are ignorant azzholes and just as inept as anybody else.

Natural government normally evolves into simple democracy with everybody having one vote. Then the majority rules.

The ancient Greeks and Romans limited the terms of office of their elected leaders to 1 year. That is/was a pretty good rule.

Arabs and Afghani's should have democracy as well. Even if they are too stupid and brainwashed by Islam to do it right.

Money rules in American, not majority. Is democracy right, I don't know, what happens to the 49%, they live under the majority rule.

The jews took care of them long ago.

I would really like to get on to a thread where you don't do your best to wreck it with your favourite hobby horse.

Stating a fact , and you know it, which is why you brought it up.

why are you bringing up the Czar of Russia, has nothing to do with today. Then again, it does, since the Jews try and control every country they live in and take over the government. You are trying to ignore the jewish state in the middle of the Middle east and the jews involvement in every war and country. I can't do it.

not a big fan of monarchs.

However ruthless tyrants kept a lid on things and eventually tyrants die, there's war, misery and a new tyrant.

Interesting topic though?

Why stop there, just get Egypt back to a theocratic Pharaoh totalitarianism..

Don't be silly. You're getting out of control.

I'm talking about Middle East monarchies, timescale post Ottoman.

Iraq had one; even Libya and Syria. Did they work, in terms of providing continuity and stability?

You're merely trolling and baiting. As a way of keeping my attention?

I can't stop you from posting here, but shall ignore your off topic rubbish from now on.

Morocco is not considered a ME country, but go ahead , tell us why? I understand your talking about Muslim countries, not jewish ones.

Like it or not, democracy is the only valid form of government.

Frankly, I don’t know much about Morocco and Jordan, but I think it is not correct to compare them with say Iraq and Syria because of national and religious homogeneity in the former and the diversity in the latter.
