Kerry has a record for seeking medals. He wrote himself up for three Purple Heart medals (three and out) and a Silver Star in Vietnam. Later in his anti war anarchist era he claimed to have thrown his medals over the White House fence but they were fakes just like Kerry.

They might have given Neville Chamberlain that same award, back in about 1938, and a couple of years later, Hitler was dancing in the streets of Paris and the Brits had run off Chamberlain and installed Winston Churchill as Prime Minister.
