Dr. Walter Williams writes today in WorldNetDaily today about his disgust with left-wing “campus cesspools.” He urges donors to stop giving to colleges and universities until they stop promoting “modern day racism” through things like “diversity programs.” Perhaps Williams would prefer that benefactors follow in the footsteps of conservative mega donor John Olin, who sponsors George Mason University’s John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics…Dr. Walter Williams.

Two things:

#1 No one with any net worth reads WND. No one who went to a good school and now has money to donate to a University gives two shits about the wackjobs at WND.

#2 He equates liberalism with diversity, that is, blacks and mexicans sitting next to white students in a college lecture hall is exclusively a "liberal" idea. For him, it's not about promoting liberal thought over conservative thought, some twisted notion about diversity being racist.

I would say the Ivy League business and public policy school tend toward a conservative political lean--meaning supply side/ free market philosophy. That doesn't mean they don't study and understand Keynesian theory.

The Chicago School and Milton Friedman are embraced by conservatives, however the average citizen doesn't understand that most economic theory is too complicated and nuanced to fit into a simple Right/Left party brand.

And if you've ever been to a USC football game, it's creepy how many blue eyed blonds there are. Many Republicans at USC. California Republicans, so rinos in bible belt.
