As long as we're playing hypotheticals, why doesn't the House cut off all funding for all Middle East troops, thereby lowering everyone's taxes by drawing down our military? The actual cost of a gallon of gas is closer to $14 when you factor in our military ensuring the free flow of oil.

The Saudis have a very capable Air Force, and enough troops to escort every tanker to the open seas. The Saudis need to sell their oil more than anyone needs to buy it, so why are we supplying the costs of security?
