While I shut down the government in 1995 to push for more spending, I didn't get any, and America prospered like no other time, the "Clinton economy." In fact, we didn't increase spending beyond inflation for 4 straight years, and that ended up with a booming economy, no inflation save the good kind = low end wage inflation, low unemployment, real earnings increases, and a budget surplus. Now, a sensible rational intelligent person might suggest WHY DON'T WE CUT/NOT INCREASE SPENDING AGAIN LIKE NEWT DID IN THE 1990s because that really worked for all of America. But we don't care about that. We care about increasing government spending because
