WOW, shades of 2016 - Bernie-ism = Trump-ism

Pretty funny watching MSNBC's Joy Reid say, "wow, we really underestimated how angry and frustrated and animated these people are. The party had better pay attention to this".

And EXACTLY the same thing was said about Trump and the Trumpsters in 2016. I say it all the time: The two ends can be SO DAMN SIMILAR.

Yes, Stormy Mac, you probably STILL don't get what animated Trump or Bernie.

It's that most of us don't have money in Wall Street. Most of us are just struggling to get by day to day getting cut off on the way to work by some douchebag in a Lexus.

I personally think Bernie is a bit overblown. He's gotten less of the Primary vote than he got in 2016 in the three contests so far.

But he stands for something that people can relate to while everyone else is, "don't upset Wall Street".
Bernie stands for “something for nothing”

and that appeals to a lot of people raised in the socialist public schools
The cabal in Congress stands for you know who, but somehow you can’t see it. Even though it’s right in front of you. Maybe a picture will help...

Socialism is not the solution
Tell that to Uncle Sam, who keeps providing it to the ultra rich.

So, is there any movement - voice in politics to reform our political system as Mac might wish? I don't think so. At the heart of the problem is MONEY, and the more money involved, the more corruption. If you want to clean up and fix politics, you need to get money out of it.

Okay... I agree, the idea is to get money out. How is Trump doing that, exactly? Well, he just fired the guy who paid him a million dollars to be Ambassador to the EU... Oh, wait, that was after the guy testified to Congress he was shaking down the Ukraine.

Saying he's imperfect is missing the point: we are likely not ever again in our lifetimes going to get someone like him fight this way against a corrupt system at so great a personal cost. And if anyone thinks Bloomberg is going to fight for reform, they're an idiot: Bloomberg will only make it far worse.

Well, here's the thing. Bloomberg doesn't need to line his own pockets like Trump is currently doing by diverting contracts to his own use. He's REALLY a billionaire, unlike Trump who just plays one on TV.

Whoever said Trump could single-handedly revolutionize the entire political scene? Did Obama? Will Sanders or Joe Biden? No one person can do that Joe, it will take a gradual shift in the consciousness of both our entire government as well as society. May never happen (at least not without a total revolt a la another tea party revolution again).

As to Bloomberg and Trump, if Bloomberg actually got in office, he would be like Hitler on steroids. Bloomberg is a multi-billionaire, Trump is a billionaire, last I heard, worth between 4.5 and 6.5 billion. What difference that makes to you, me or Washington DC, I don't know. Last I checked, there was no connection between wealth and qualification.

Trump has not used racism nor have trump voters

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that Trump isn't a racist because you are and he never shows up at the meetings.

its understood that globalism is to blame for the job losses experienced in the middle class

Understood by who? Only 13% of manufacturing job losses were due to outsourcing. the other 87% were lost to automation and process improvement.

factory jobs that used to be here but are now in china

Um, no, not really. Most of those jobs here and China have been replaced by machines.

but racism is an issue since democrats are using migrants from latin America to flood the job market that used to be owned by poor Americans of all races

Poor Americans don't want to do those jobs. And who do you think are hiring them? It's mostly rich white people who vote Republican.

the left wants socialism and the more poor people they can import or manufacture the better it is for the socialist verging on communist democrat party

That wasn't even coherent.

The reason why socialism is probably inevitable, is that for most of us, Capitalism is a SHIT sandwich.

The greedy leftwing academics are lining their pockets with federal loan money through tuitions but libs blame conservative repubs that had nothing to do with it

Wow... well, good thing no one ever wasted any of that education on you, buddy.

Trump has no interest in revolutionizing the scene.

Trump is about Trump. He's a malignant narcissist, period. Running for President was nothing more than a branding exercise for him.

Trump is probably nowhere near that.. which is why he doesn't release his tax records.

Trump inherited money... has gone bankrupt a shitload of times, and has wafted through life on a cloud of his own bullshit.

Bloomberg came from a middle class background, worked his way up, built a huge financial empire, then took time to run New York City and did a pretty darned good job at that.

The millions of jobs that moved to china are not being filled by robots

as for your delusions about racists behind every tree and bush thats nonsense

you are a loser who wants the government to wipe your nose for you as do most loyal democrats

The millions of jobs that moved to china are not being filled by robots

Actually, they are. If you worked in manufacturing, you'd know this.

as for your delusions about racists behind every tree and bush thats nonsense

Quite the contrary, Racism is how the GOP has kept dumb white people like you voting against your own economic interests.

you are a loser who wants the government to wipe your nose for you as do most loyal democrats

You are the one who wakes up screaming at the thought a Mexican with no connections, money or English skills will take your job....

Trump's record in office shows that he IS interested to trying to fix many problems, but do you really expect him to REVOLUTIONIZE the scene?

Prove to me Obama wasn't about Obama, or Hillary, or Biden, or Bloomberg.

You have no idea what Trump is worth, nor does it matter.

Some of Trump's many lines of business have gone under. Trump has never been bankrupt.

Trump came from Queens, his dad built apartment buildings for the low income.

You have your own opinions on what a job Bloomberg did.

Bloomberg and Trump know each other well and have more in common than not. Pretty funny you are using the same things to bolster supporting Bloomberg just because he's a democrat now and running against Trump that is often used to criticize Trump for.

holy crap

He made some really good points, Mac.
Since I've read the liberals here, for the most part I think they have points to make. I don't agree with him putting them on ignore because he can't change their minds. The mindless support for every stupid or immoral or inappropriate thing Trump does is far more sickening, but he can't see that.
Still, he made some really good points.
Always love when left wingers proclaim some moral superiority as though the left are highly moral.

We should all just applaud this 11 year old cross dressing transgender boy stripping at gay strip clubs.

YEAAAAH!!!!

Not one conservative Trump voter applauding that, I can assure you.

You pathetic gasbags. Are any of you losers self aware? No, cause if you were, you would not proclaim moral superiority from your pathetic hypocritical moral left wing platitudes.

Trump's record in office shows that he IS interested to trying to fix many problems, but do you really expect him to REVOLUTIONIZE the scene?

Trump's record in office is that he's an inept buffoon who is playing America on Easy Mode.

He's really not done a lot of anything other than his bad management hasn't fucked anything up yet.

Some of Trump's many lines of business have gone under. Trump has never been bankrupt.

Of course not, the system protects the wealthy, and THAT'S the problem. While bankruptcy reform SCREWED working class Americans who got hit with illnesses, wealthy people like Trump can walk away from their obligations.

Always love when left wingers proclaim some moral superiority as though the left are highly moral.

It depends.

Is your morality based on how we treat eachother, or do you define morality as "complying with your sexual hangups"

That 11 year old drag kid isn't hurting you. He isn't bothering you and he's having no effect on your life.

You know what doesn't bother you? that 11 year olds in America are going to bed hungry tonight.

Trump's record in office is that he's an inept buffoon who is playing America on Easy Mode.
You keeping your own record? Half the nation I think would disagree with that.

He's really not done a lot of anything other than his bad management hasn't fucked anything up yet.
How do you have bad management if you haven't fucked anything up? This doesn't look like not done a lot of anything:

You are mistaken

the jobs that moved to china are being filled by humans not robots

Pretty funny watching MSNBC's Joy Reid say, "wow, we really underestimated how angry and frustrated and animated these people are. The party had better pay attention to this".

And EXACTLY the same thing was said about Trump and the Trumpsters in 2016. I say it all the time: The two ends can be SO DAMN SIMILAR.

Bernie is this year's Trump, at least for the Democrats.

Dude, DUDE! He is getting MASSIVE cross over votes! We are repaying the DNC for the last 3 years.

Big difference:

Trump 2016: Make America Great Again.

Commie Bernie 2020: Make America Venezuela.

A false comparison fallacy if there ever was one.
