Yes this happened just before Iowa. For a month The Donald was ahead and then all of sudden just days before Cruz mysteriously narrowly ahead.

I am thinking this poll could be accurate though, as it starts on the 12th and that is the day Scalia died.

So conservative voter concerns regarding the SCOTUS appointment may have peaked now eclipsing security and immigration. That could explain a resurgence to Cruz.

"margin of error of plus-minus 3.5 percentage points"

Actually it is 4.9% NBC/WSJ February Poll - GOP

But you are of course right as to the main point that this poll's margin of error makes a 2% margin rather ephemeral.
