Remember when the gay lobby claimed that gay parents were just as good as normal heterosexual parents?

Yet Another New Study: Children with Same-Sex Parents Fare Worse | National Review Online

Using Canadian census data, a very large and therefore representative database, Canadian professor Douglas Allen of Simon Frazier University finds that children raised by intact, married biological parents do better than children raised by same-sex couples.

Children living with gay and lesbian families in 2006 were about 65 % as likely to graduate compared to children living in opposite sex marriage families. Daughters of same-sex parents do considerably worse than sons.

what's the study say about heterosexual single parents? how about children in foster care?

The last study that social conservatives went crazy over was debunked easily and quickly, and I don't doubt this one will be too.

The "studies" aren't going to convince America to go back to 1950s. Get over it, loser.

Actually, all the liberal studies on the subject were debunked. What we need to go back to is sanity.

those are already known ones.
children with same-sex "parents" fare approximately as children in single parent households. Bot categories have their unique problems, though.

so you expect us to believe that somehow having two dedicated loving adults is detrimental to a kid as compared to one?

i'd really need to see some hard evidence to believe that

The researcher is a professor of economics.

The format is peer reviewed.

Should be read carefully and thoughtfully.

are we talking about religious beliefs or scientific studies here?

We already have accepted that children in single parent households are disadvantaged. Kids in foster care don't do well either.
