A study by the CDC, commissioned by POTUS Obama, showed that guns available to law abiding citizens reduces crime. It also concluded that gun control laws have no effect unless it is a negative impact because if you remove the most stringent gun control states of California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Illinois and DC, the rest of the country is as safe as any other modern industrialized society.

And yes, these murders occurred in Maryland, one of those strict gun control states.

The problem is not that guns were present, but that the wrong people were the only ones that had them, aka criminals, doofus.
