I wonder if they really were guilty. Why isn't there a Guilt Project to look into these cases where people allegedly didn't do it, but to look at them seriously to actually establish Guilt.

Far Left Mayor Mini Mike Bloomberg wasn't convinced the city did anything wrong, it took an even more extreme mayor to decide unilaterally to make the payment.

Further, NONE of the police detectives who were supposedly at fault were docked even 5 cents in pay over it.

As far as the "guy who actually did it", that fellow is dead and was unable to corroberate his claim of guilt.
