Well, I am back, and on this glorious Memorial Day 2016 I am going to relax by smoking a Padron Maduro 1964 Family Reserve blend.

I should have just cut a little notch on the foot rather than using my cutter because the draw is insanely easy!

It is starting out full bodied and spicy, as I would expect. I suspect it will mellow a bit in a moment. It has been relaxing in my humidor at 70/70 for the past 3 weeks.

Yeah, just a few puffs in and it has mellowed into a sweet woodsy flavor. Nice!

The flavor profile: predominately smoky wood with undertones of nuts and mild traces of pepper.

There was a little bit of an uneven burn to start with. But that was due to me trying to light it with a fan blowing on me (it is 92 F right now). Now the burn has corrected itself. Now it is more sweet, smoky wood with the underlying spice, especially on the retro.

Cedar, pepper, and something else that I cannot quite identify. This flavor profile is more complex than a Bonzi Pap smear .

I dropped my fucking stick on the garage floor. I have got it cleaned and smoking again.

Those things stink stink stink!!!! ;)

It started very full bodied, then mellowed to a medium to medium-full, now it is ramping up just a little.

Thus far I have detected

Smoky wood
Cedar
Spice
Coffee/expresso
Chocolate

Again, an AMAZING smoke.
