Except, he's right. Until the Russian present a plan to remove all assets from all of Ukraine, he has zero incentive to negotiate.

That's a tall order seeing that Russian speaking natives of the old Soviet block and Russia have been in Ukraine long before Zelenskys regime was a glitch on the Russian radar.

Once you stop covering for the evil of Putin, this ends pretty quick. Out of about 144,000 people putin has lost close to a million already. The only gain I can see is that Putin may be using it to curb population. One of the oldest reasons to attack you neighbor.

And said repeatedly in the past that taking away Crimea and the Donbas - two heavily pro-Russian regions in Ukraine - from Ukrainian political life was a gross mistake for Russia that would have bad consequences.

But those laughable figures you provide won't change the reality, either. In this war of attrition Russia clearly has an upper hand. Only when (or if) the price of Russian oil will be around 40 dollars, it would have any meaning to discuss that again.

Does a nation not have it's own vast array of resources that it can turn and draw from during a time of crisis, even if it was being a player/good world citizen when playing along in the game that was set forth by the WTO ?

Does a nation not have the ability to create it's own currency or give any power it needs to it's own currency from within, and all the while still trading in goods with it's allied nation's while having a currency exchange rate that is applied when it's allies buy or sell goods between them all in what is referred too as allies ????

Does Putin not have allies other than these United States and these NATO nation's that it has dealt with and traded with when out in the world in the past ??

Where does China stand on Putins war, along with other nation's not so cozy with the world that is making them eventually fall in line regardless of their independence as free nation's in the world ??

Does Ukraine have the resources or capacity to sustain it's efforts against a behemoth that is Russia, otherwise for whom still holds the nuclear key's that ultimately could finish the Ukraine government if and when it has had enough of the toying around trying to see how far it all goes as they are trying to clean out what it sees as a hornet's nest in the Ukraine government ?

Does the world know or have it's strategy for peace, otherwise to come forth soon because it already knows the outcome from a world perspective on who wins and who looses in these war's and rumors of war's eventually ???

I guess we need to allow the Cherokee to take back it's stolen land. How about Japan invading South Korea once again. Or maybe have Bolivia invade it's neighbors. If you justify allowing Putin and his Cronies to try and keep Donbas and other parts that became Ukrainian Lands in 1991 then I guess you will also justify a hell of a lot more invasions by just about everyone. Hell, maybe we should allow Mexico to invade the old New Mexican Territories or allow Canada to invade Washington and Oregon.

Russia lies about their casualties. Ukraine lies about their casualties. The real figures will become known only after the war ends, and that won't be immediately. Every sane person understands that.

Just one question needs to be answered. Russia needs to pack it's toys and go home. Instant peace. The only good thing coming out of this has been that Russia can no longer support Assad and Assad has gathered his 1 Billion plus and fled the Syria. Now let the deals happen like Britain should have done in 1948.
